Uncommon Starring Erik Estrada Holds Auditions This Weekend
Lynchburg, VA – Uncommon will be holding open auditions this weekend, March 22-23, at Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Virginia, Room 150, Cafeteria:
Friday, March 22, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Adult auditions, and
Saturday, March 23, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Young people (Ages 14-26) & Adults
Liberty Counsel is working on this feature film starring Erik Estrada to educate teens, parents, and school officials on religious liberty in the public schools.
Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, has long been on the front lines of defending religious liberty in the public schools. In a precedent-setting case against the ACLU that went to the Supreme Court, Adler v. Duval County School Board, Staver successfully argued for students’ religious liberties and won the right of students to pray or give religious messages at graduation.
“Students do not lose their constitutional right to free speech when they step to the podium at graduation,” Staver said. “To allow a variety of viewpoints except religious viewpoints at graduation is neither American nor is it consistent with the Constitution. While schools should not force people to pray, neither should they force them not to pray.”
“Uncommon is both educational and motivational. It is our hope that more people will be inspired to take a stand against those who want to remove God from the public square,” Staver concluded.
Liberty Counsel is an international nonprofit, litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family since 1989, by providing pro bono assistance and representation on these and related topics.
