The Liberator

As the FINAL DAY approaches…

Dear Friend,

On March 2, I will stand before the United States Supreme Court to argue one of the most important religious liberty cases of the past 50 years.

The case of McCreary County v. ACLU of Kentucky will determine the fate of every Ten Commandments display in the country — and so very much more — as I’ve outlined in other updates.

As the date grows ever closer, my team and I continue to put in an intense amount of labor, research, and practice sessions in preparation for this historic case.

The workload is enormous — but we are greatly encouraged by your support!

Also encouraging is the support we’ve received from the U.S. Attorney General’s office and twenty-six states that have filed legal briefs in support of Liberty Counsel’s position.

On the other side, the ACLU’s opposing position has won support from organizations such as the American Humanist Association, Internet Infidels, Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans, and Atheist Alliance International.

This is a very critical time in the case, and to be honest, we need your help more now than ever as we begin to incur extensive costs in preparation for the final push.

Among the other expenses, the final preparations and final argument phase forces us to shuttle our staff to a number of different locations, which means additional transportation and housing costs.

Please take time right now to be a part of this monumental case in defense of the laws of God — upon which the government of our country was established.

As a token of my sincere, deep appreciation for your donation of $50 or more this month, I will send you an official bound copy of our first brief, just as it was submitted to the Supreme Court of the United States.

This document is a remarkable defense of the display of the Ten Commandments in public places and, indeed, an important educational tool and memento of this historic case.

When you send your gift of $200 or more to help us push through the crucial final stages of preparation to defend the Commandments, I will send both of Liberty Counsel’s briefs ? our initial brief and our rebuttal to the ACLU’s brief ? as soon as we print and bind our second brief to the Supreme Court of the United States.

And I’ll even include a copy of the ACLU’s brief, so you can read for yourself their intent to remove from the public’s sight and mind anything related to our religious heritage.

It is urgent that we hear from you soon. Make your mark in history today by joining us as we prepare for this Supreme Court case!

Preparing for the battle,

Mathew D. Staver

P.S. Please consider a significant gift to help underwrite the costs associated with the final preparation stages of this critical, historical case. Please join us in prayer, and organize prayer teams in preparation for March 2!
