The Journey Continues

Nov 5, 2018

Covenant Journey alumni from around the country came together for a reunion recently in Virginia.

The excitement began on Friday as the CJ alumni gathered together to enjoy an evening of food and fellowship at Liberty University. Hugs and laughter prevailed as friends reunited to reminisce about the sweet memories of their journey in Israel. Saturday included lunch and a hike through the beautiful trails on Candler’s Mountain which provided a beautiful fall photo op with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. The reunion concluded with dinner, fellowship and a time of praise and worship. The praise and worship time brought back many memories when the students gathered in Israel for praise and worship at the Sea of Galilee, the Garden of Gethsemane, the Garden Tomb, and more.

Throughout the weekend, students shared testimonies of how God provided open doors for them to tell others about the journey and the impact it has had on their lives.  There was a consistent theme that while the journey began in Israel, it has continued … God’s presence has become stronger in their lives, their hunger and thirst for God’s Word has continued to grow, and their love for Israel and the Jewish people has continued to be on their hearts and minds.
