Those powerful words from Isaiah 9:6 remind us that through the precious gift of the Incarnation, all nations, including our own, are accountable to the one eternal King, begotten of the Father, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Based on that eternal Truth, the Founders included in the U.S. Constitution the fundamental human right of religious liberty – that is, to worship God freely and act on our sincerely-held beliefs without fear of interference or penalty from the government.
