Bone-Chilling Testimony . . . And Good News

Sep 16, 2019

The judge presiding over the state of California’s baseless and politically motivated prosecution of pro-life hero Sandra Merritt today dismissed one and a half of the 15 criminal felony charges lodged against Sandra.

That’s great news! . . . but we still have a long distance to go to see all remaining charges dismissed. Which is why I ask for your help today. Please give now to help us defend Sandra against these frivolous and politically motivated charges.

More shocking details about something that is monstrous, dark and evil came out Friday in Sandra Merritt's criminal hearing in San Francisco.

Sandra our client, is fighting a criminal felony indictment that could send her to prison for more than a decade. California's attorney general—a friend and ally of Planned Parenthood--is prosecuting Sandra for exposing Planned Parenthood’s gruesome trafficking in body parts harvested from the babies it kills.

Sandra's criminal hearing enters its third week today . . . and the testimony so far has been chilling. Thanks to friends like you, Liberty Counsel attorneys are in San Francisco defending this pro-life grandmother who is in the fight of her life.

The cost to wage this legal battle is astronomical and right now we need your help. Modest hotel accommodations in pricey San Francisco alone will be more than $10,000. And court transcripts will go over $10,000. Add to that many other expenses. Plus, we'll go to trial in Planned Parenthood's civil lawsuit demanding millions from Sandra in just two weeks.

Your gift now is urgently needed to help us give Sandra the best defense possible!

Last week, the CEO of StemExpress, one of Planned Parenthood's former "organ procurement" partners, revealed in court that her firm harvested human hearts from aborted babies—and then sold them to researchers at Stanford.

That's ghoulish and sick—but this is worse . . .

+ + Beating hearts from living babies

In his testimony Friday, Center for Medical Progress founder David Daleiden told the court why he thinks those hearts were beating when they were cut out of living babies.

Citing a scientific journal, Daleiden told the court Stanford researchers pumped fluid through fetal hearts using the Langendorff apparatus--a technique to keep a heart beating outside the body.

But that technique doesn't work, Daleiden said, unless the heart is already beating when it is first attached to the Langendorff apparatus.

"My understanding is that it required a live beating heart," Daleiden said.

He consulted with experts to reach that conclusion. Among them Dr. Theresa Deisher, a research scientist with a doctorate in molecular and cellular physiology from Stanford University.

"Dr. Deisher told me the fetus would have to be alive at the time the organs were harvested" for use in the Langendorff apparatus, Daleiden told the court.

+ + Pure evil

Words fail me.

Cutting open living babies to take out their beating hearts is pure evil. It's why I'm so passionate that we prevail in this case.

And why I ask you to stand with Sandra now.

Your gift of any amount will make a real and immediate difference as we defend Sandra on two fronts.

She is fighting serious criminal charges levied against her by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra—a man who publicly indicated he stands with Planned Parenthood and has taken thousands in campaign donations from the abortion chain. If convicted, Sandra faces more than a decade behind bars.

And we're also defending Sandra in the civil suit Planned Parenthood filed against Sandra demanding millions. It's a ruthless bid to bankrupt this courageous grandmother. The civil case goes to trial October 2 and could run six weeks. Costs will soar.

Will you please consider a gift today?

Sandra is in the fight of her life. She needs to know you're standing with her now! Please give today!

Thank you for your prayers and your partnership as we fight for Sandra and defend life, liberty and the family in courts nationwide.
