Jurors’ ears may have been burning last Wednesday when they listened in on a conversation Sandra Merritt had in 2013 with an abortion industry veteran.

Posing as the owner of “Biomax”—a start-up fetal tissue procurement firm—Sandra chatted with abortion consultant Ruth Arick at an Association of Reproductive Health Professionals convention.

Arick told Sandra that many abortion facilities use digoxin—a feticide injected by needle into a baby’s heart or body while still in the womb.

“With dig [digoxin],” Arick explained, “you have fetal death, you’re never gonna have a live birth.”

Live births are the last thing the abortion industry wants. Except if they need the baby alive before harvesting his or her organs—without anesthesia, of course.

+ + “Over-dilate . . . to extract an entire fetus”

Arick, who has spent some three decades in the abortion industry, gave Sandra an inside tip . . .

Some researchers are looking for whole fetuses, in the earlier stages, so you over-dilate, you try to be able to extract an entire fetus through your cannula [tube], but then again, the over-dilation can be a risk to the woman, so you know, it’s a game.

But why the demand for “whole fetuses”? Jurors learned the answer when Sandra’s colleague, David Daleiden, took the stand.

David, who founded the Center for Medical Progress and spearheaded the undercover investigation into Planned Parenthood, said he consulted beforehand with stem cell scientist Dr. Teresa Deisher, a Stanford Ph.D.

Dr. Deisher told me that that the most horrific aspect of fetal experimentation is that most . . . of the organ and tissue demand would require . . . fetuses delivered alive from the abortion, fetuses delivered intact and alive, to harvest the body parts with the freshness and the viability.

And in the case of a “Langendorff perfusion study,” it was necessary “to have a heart that was still beating, because you'd cut it out of a living fetus.”

That study appeared in the journal Circulation, David said, where “the researchers, themselves, said that these fetuses were alive when they obtained them.”

The barbarism and brutality visited on these tiny, helpless human victims is beyond comprehension.
