Another hotspot in the war on Christmas has flared up. But this time, school authorities caved without a fight—and did so without knowing their constitutional rights. Thanks to you, though, Liberty Counsel is stepping in and offering to defend Christmas, free of charge, in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Yet another bully is trying to steal Christmas from little kids. This time, the angry atheists at the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) intimidated Edmond, Oklahoma, school authorities over a grade-school Christmas production.

After the FFRF fired off a threatening letter, the Edmond school district told third grade children they cannot participate in a live Nativity scene during their school's annual Christmas production.

So, a Christmas tradition in place for nearly three decades got the heave ho.

That upset and angered some parents. "We cannot let one or two individuals deny these opportunities for our precious kiddos," one wrote on social media, according to KWTV in Oklahoma City.

Another said, "This is heartbreaking."

Once again—it's "away with the manger!"

The so-called Freedom from Religion group of atheists continually bullies and threatens people of faith every Christmas, and that includes even children. This organization mocks Christianity and does not seem to care what the Constitution has to say about it.

But here's what makes all this even worse . . .

The FFRF's claims that the school's live Nativity would violate the U.S. Constitution were FALSE and simply made up to frighten the school district into compliance.

That's why Liberty Counsel sent a detailed letter to the superintendent of Edmond Public Schools, informing him about the law and the Constitution when it  comes to Christmas observances.

And it's also why Liberty Counsel is offering to defend the district free of charge—pro bono—if the school chooses to resume a live Nativity in the school Christmas program.

I hope this school district will not cave to FFRF threats and continues to allow these children to celebrate Christ’s birth in their school production. We stand ready to defend them if they do.
