Sandra Merritt shot to the top of Planned Parenthood's enemies list in 2015. That's when the world first saw the shocking undercover videos she helped obtain exposing the abortion giant's heinous trade in human body parts cut or torn from aborted babies.

The content is sickening . . .

• A Planned Parenthood official haggles over the price of human organs and jokes, "I want a Lamborghini."
• "We've been very good at getting heart, lung, liver," another Planned Parenthood medical officer reveals, while munching salad and sipping wine.
• In another scene, Planned Parenthood abortion workers nonchalantly pick through glass dishes filled with tiny arms, legs, eyeballs and organs.
• An abortion provider amuses her convention audience by referring to the "heads that get stuck that we can't get out."

+ + Planned Parenthood has targeted Sandra for revenge

The revelations sparked congressional investigations and criminal referrals to the U.S. Department of Justice. Because of the damning video evidence, two of Planned Parenthood's baby body parts business partners paid out nearly $8 million in a 2017 criminal settlement. The two firms confessed to violating state and federal laws by selling fetal organs and tissue obtained from Planned Parenthood for profit.

The disturbing videos also propelled the campaign to defund Planned Parenthood by denying it state and federal taxpayer dollars.

For all that, Planned Parenthood is determined to get revenge.

It's waging a relentless campaign to punish and crush Sandra—a 66-year-old grandmother on Social Security. And it wants to discredit and bury the damning revelations she helped bring to the nation.

After a six-week federal civil trial this fall—during which a federal judge with past ties to Planned Parenthood EXCLUDED video evidence of the abortion firm's shocking and vile conduct—a misdirected jury awarded Planned Parenthood $2.2 million.

It's a gross injustice that will not stand! Sandra did nothing wrong—her only offense was revealing the gruesome truth about Planned Parenthood.

+ + Defending Sandra against civil and criminal assaults

But even as we mount our appeal in the civil case, we're also fighting the state of California's a vicious attempt to put Sandra behind bars.

In an egregious assault on the First Amendment, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, the abortion giant's hired gun, is prosecuting Sandra for the "crime" of doing journalism.

Becerra—like his predecessor as Attorney General, now-Senator Kamala Harris who launched the criminal prosecution against Sandra, has taken in thousands in campaign donations from Planned Parenthood.

Becerra filed a 15-count felony indictment against Sandra in 2017. But in a partial victory December 6, the judge rejected six of the charges. And we’re now fighting to get them all thrown out.

These outrageous accusations threaten Sandra with years in prison and huge fines—all for doing what is a commonly accepted journalistic practice.

Sandra used "tried-and-true investigative techniques" to expose Planned Parenthood, as a First Amendment attorney told Courthouse News.

In fact, other well-publicized undercover investigations exposing the meat industry, unethical treatment of animals or consumer fraud have all taken place in California. And yet Sandra and her colleague, David Daleiden, are the first undercover journalists to be criminally prosecuted in the history of the state!
