It will take 218 House member signatures on a "discharge petition" to bring this pro-life bill to a House floor vote. So far, 203 members have signed—199 Republicans but just 4 Democrats! We only need 15 more to bypass Nancy Pelosi.

As an American who loves liberty and treasures the gift of human life, I urge you to sign Discharge Petition No. 0001 in order to bring HR 962 - the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act - to a full House floor vote.

The American people overwhelmingly oppose infanticide and support compassionate care for infants who survive abortion. Some 77 percent of voters support legislation to ensure that a baby who survives a botched abortion gets the same medical treatment as any other baby.

Yet, newborn babies are being neglected, dissected, and killed by the medical professionals who should be caring for them after a failed abortion. The Sandra Merritt case in California exposed new evidence. Planned Parenthood abortionists were intentionally birthing children alive to harvest their beating human hearts, their brains, and other organs for research, according to an expert witness.

Current laws are not providing adequate protection for these newborn children. Regardless of whether their mothers wanted them or not, newborns who are born alive deserve equal medical care. They deserve respect, not neglect ... or worse.
