The day after HGTV executives told David and Jason they would soon be known by millions of people because of the debut of their new reality TV show, “Flip it Forward,” the evangelical twins learned from Facebook they were fired by HGTV for expressing their Christian beliefs regarding abortion and homosexuality. Instead of being bitter, the Benham brothers have turned the light on the attack on religious freedom worldwide. Whether it be the terrorist attack in Paris or the jailing of a county clerk, a battle is raging against freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

“It was one thing for us to lose a reality show on prime-time television for exercising our freedom of speech, but it’s a whole new ballgame when people are suspended without pay and then fired because of their beliefs – let alone murdered!” the Benham brothers said. “So the question is, What are we going to do about it? We believe it’s time to take a stand–whatever the cost. Although we can’t control the attacks, we can control how we react to them.”
