Imagine a teenager girl…

These are just a few of the very real life details of Rifqa Bary’s story, the Ohio teenager who found Jesus but had to flee from her Muslim family.

Now a 23-year-old college student, Bary is speaking out at the Awakening 2016.

The author of Hiding in the Light: Why I Risked Everything to Leave Islam and Follow Jesus spent her teenage years hiding from her parents in Central Florida, spending time in jail, fighting for her justice in court, enduring chemotherapy, and going from foster home to foster home in an attempt to keep her whereabouts hidden.

Rifqa Bary told a judge that she feared her conversion to Christianity would cause her “honor killing.”

A symbol of religious freedom, Rifqa inspires others with her commitment to her faith in Jesus Christ and her willingness to sacrifice everything to follow him.
