WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) and the American Principles Project (APP) have released a new fact sheet highlighting Planned Parenthood as a leading provider of harmful “sex-rejecting interventions.” The fact sheet, which also details the abortion giant’s distribution of gender ideology sex education and “dangerous” patient safety record, comes ahead of the July 5 expiration date of the Planned Parenthood defunding provision in last year’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.” ACPeds and the APP urge Congress to keep Planned Parenthood defunded “because it participates in the harming of minors.”
“Americans will be deeply dismayed to discover that Planned Parenthood operates more clinics providing sex-rejecting interventions to minors than ones providing abortions,” said Dr. Michelle Cretella, Chair of ACPeds Adolescent Sexuality Committee. “Today, nearly 80 percent of their clinics offer sex-rejecting procedures nationwide—more than the number of locations that offer abortion services.”
Until July 2025, Planned Parenthood had been receiving taxpayer-funded reimbursements from the federal government for more than 50 years. In fiscal year 2024-2025, Planned Parenthood received approximately $832 million in taxpayer reimbursements for their services, which are “increasingly sex-rejecting interventions,” the fact sheet reported.

Key findings from the fact sheet:
Sex-Rejecting Procedures
Gender Ideology Sexuality Education
Patient Safety Record
The report cited Planned Parenthood as a “serious threat to patient safety” noting that even gender ideology advocates say it is “not equipped” to provide these services and is “creating a race to the bottom” within the medical community.
Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “Planned Parenthood must not be allowed to continue to profit from harming children and killing unborn babies. Harmful gender interventions and abortion are not health care. There should be no public funding for Planned Parenthood.”
