Despite the rhetoric about "reducing the number of abortions," Liberals in Congress have passed a $768 million dollar Financial Services Appropriations bill – without allowing debate – to fund abortions in the District of Columbia. Common sense should tell Congress that they cannot reduce abortion by funding it.

Taxpayers will be forced to pay for the destruction of innocent human life and other unaccepable programs in the District, including giving needles to drug addicts to use for illicit drugs. The bill (which President Obama supports) will legalize marijuana for medical use, eliminate school vouchers and stop funding for a drug prevention campaign.

A committee vote on the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the United States Supreme Court will be held on today, July 21, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be webcast live online.
