As the debate over President Obama’s socialized healthcare plan heats up, the depth of his radicalism is becoming more evident. John Holdren, Obama’s recent choice for the so-called “Science Czar,” provides the latest and perhaps most troubling example of extremism.
In the name of population control, Holdren has advocated both forced abortion and compulsory sterilization through government-administered tainting of the water supply.
In a book he co-authored, Holdren wrote: “There exists ample authority under which population growth could be regulated. It has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.”
Holdren was confirmed in March as director of the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy, the 50-person office that will advise on issues involving science, energy and global warming.
This is one more reason to investigate this administration's future proposed appointments very carefully.
