Mat Staver Scheduled Guest on CNN Headline News Today at 5:30 pm ET
Mat Staver is scheduled to appear on "Prime News" with Mike Galanos which will air on CNN Headline News at 5:30 pm ET today. The topic is the ACLU's continuing efforts to impose an unconstitutional no-prayer, no-religion rule on teachers, staff and students in Florida schools.
Last year the ACLU filed a lawsuit against the Santa Rosa County School District and got the District to agree to an order that essentially bans all employees from engaging in prayer or religious activities, whether before, during, or after school hours. Without any legal argument, the federal district court in Pensacola, Florida, entered the Consent Order.
The ACLU then complained to the court that high school principal Frank Lay and athletic director Robert Freeman were responsible for a prayer to bless a meal. Based on the ACLU's allegations, U.S. District Judge Casey Rodgers initiated criminal contempt proceedings and referred to the United States Attorney’s office for prosecution.
Pace High School Principal Frank Lay and Athletic Director Robert Freeman are facing fines and up to six months in jail if convicted. Liberty Counsel represents Lay and Freeman in this case. The hearing is set for September 17th in Pensacola, Florida.

Uncovering the ACLU's Not-So-Hidden Agenda
Earlier today, Mat Staver was on the "Happening Now" show on Fox News with cohosts Jon Scott and Jane Skinner.
Again, the topic was the Florida high school administrators who are facing criminal contempt charges for a prayer offered to bless the food at an appreciation luncheon with other adults.
