The Senate today voted to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill Justice Anthony Kennedy’s vacancy on the Supreme Court. Kavanaugh will be sworn in very soon and will take the bench on the Supreme Court this coming week. 

Judge Kavanaugh, who has written over 300 judicial opinions, believes that “a judge must be independent and must interpret the law, not make it.” Kavanaugh also stressed he believes in interpreting statutes and the Constitution as they are written, “informed by history and tradition and precedent.”

“This is a great day for America after many days of unnecessary theatrics, delays and character assassination,” said Mat Staver.
