What Can I Do to Help?

We often hear from people wanting to know what they can do to change the culture. So, during the New Year, we will share some specific steps you can take. In the meantime, please take a moment to read about our current projects and programs in our Year-End Report (which you can also receive in print for free by calling 407-875-1776).

 This Year-End Report will encourage and inspire you, as you learn about the good things that God has done through this ministry.

 The most important action that you can take now is to pray for the upcoming year. In addition, prayerfully consider what God would have you give to Liberty Counsel during this final weekend.

You can trust that your donation will be carefully managed. The best indication of financial efficiency is seen in the Liberty Counsel audited financial statements. Incredibly, our nondonor funding (which includes court-awarded attorney’s fees received from our opposition) has covered 100% of our fundraising and administrative costs for the past two years, leaving every penny we receive from generous donors like you to fund our vital litigation and education projects!

The best time to give is now because a generous donor has given a matching gift that doubles your gift!

Here is how you can help today:

  • Make a secure online credit card donation on our website by midnight, December 31, in your time zone;
  • Send a check postmarked by December 31 to Liberty Counsel, PO Box 540774, Orlando, FL 32854; or
  • Call in your credit card donation to 407-875-1776 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Great news! Our friends aged 70 ½ or older can now donate to Liberty Counsel directly from an IRA with no adverse tax consequences! The President just signed into law the “Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015.” Among other provisions, this legislation allows donors over 70 1/2 years of age to give up to $100,000 out of their IRAs directly to a charity of their choice! The gift must go directly from the IRA custodian to a charity like Liberty Counsel.
 
If you have an IRA from which you would like to give a gift to Liberty Counsel, instruct your IRA custodian to make a check payable to "Liberty Counsel” and mail it to P.O. Box 540774, Orlando, FL 32854. Because of the new law, donors over 70 ½ years of age will not need to include the distribution in their taxable income for the period in which the gift is given! Those who take advantage of this tax-free opportunity to give directly from an IRA, however, cannot also take a charitable deduction for the amount of the gift.
