President Trump hosted a White House summit targeting social media censorship last Thursday. The President accused Facebook, Google and Twitter of “terrible bias” for censoring and silencing conservative speech.

The White House event struck a nerve. Radicals lashed out with predictable and well-worn charges of hate-mongering. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) accused President Trump of “essentially conducting a hate summit at the White House.”

But Trump is right. Social media censorship of conservative speech is all-too-real. The “Silicon Censors” have now moved from “shadow banning” to overt censoring of pro-faith and pro-family organizations. And Liberty Counsel continues to be a primary target of their attacks!

The censoring of Christian and conservative beliefs is accelerating at a rapid pace. Consider this from just the past few months...

Facebook banned Franklin Graham over a post from 2016, before finally relenting and restoring Graham’s page only after there was a great public outcry.

Apple permanently removed an app from a Christian group designed to help those struggling with issues of faith and homosexuality after less than 500 people signed a petition of complaint!

The music and audio platform Spotify recently removed all of the content by PragerU -- an organization that creates very popular online presentations outlining a conservative worldview -- because the content did not “comply with our editorial policies.”

These are just three examples that demonstrate what is quickly becoming the single greatest threat to freedom of speech in this country’s history! And this dangerous new wave of censorship is becoming more obvious and open by the day.

+  +  The SPLC is "cutting us off". . .

Dig just below the surface of these attacks, and you’ll discover that the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is helping fuel the Silicon Censors heavy-handed tactics. Last year, our team exposed “smoking gun” evidence of an overt targeting campaign being conducted by the SPLC against Liberty Counsel and other pro-faith and pro-family groups.

The evidence came in a letter from Morris Dees, the disgraced founder of that notorious organization. In his letter, Dees—who the SPLC fired in March for unspecified misconduct—openly outlined the strategy:

“Right now, [the SPLC is] cutting off hate groups from sources of financing by pushing digital companies like Amazon not to allow hate groups to use their services.”

This censorship pattern is not limited to Amazon. The SPLC-inspired, “fake hate” campaign has resulted in an AVALANCHE of attacks against Liberty Counsel – many being hidden deep in the internal workings of high-tech communications giants.

+  +  Existential threat

Please understand -- this is an existential threat against Liberty Counsel and other pro-faith and pro-family groups. Google, Facebook and others already hold a monopoly on key portals and infrastructure on the Internet. They simply cannot be allowed to conspire against us to destroy us!

This is why I say that Liberty Counsel is under siege by a very sophisticated attack coming from the “Silicon Censors.” They are using shadow banning and even open censorship to impose an anti-faith, anti-family moral code on the entire nation!

Why are we a target? Because Liberty Counsel’s remarkable success at defending faith and family in courtrooms across our nation has put us at the center of their bullseye. They clearly intend to silence, censor and even destroy Liberty Counsel!

This is why I must fight back against these efforts to silence your voice and mine.
