Liberty Counsel and Sandra Merritt are back in a San Francisco federal courtroom today as Planned Parenthood’s vicious revenge trial resumes . . . and enters a critical phase.

The abortion giant is suing our client, Sandra Merritt, for millions. Sandra exposed Planned Parenthood’s cruel and barbaric “side business” selling body parts cut or torn from the babies it butchers in its abortion chambers nationwide.

Caught red-handed, Planned Parenthood reacted in rage. It filed a frivolous suit to mercilessly punish Sandra for exposing the truth.

The biggest barrier Liberty Counsel faces in defending pro-life hero Sandra Merritt against Planned Parenthood’s (PP) revenge suit is the court-imposed restrictions on what we can present to the jury.

While Planned Parenthood is free to pat itself on the back—the truth about what it does to babies is forbidden by the judge, who has a past history with Planned Parenthood.

+ + Court is censoring “the truth . . .”

The judge declared, early on, that the trial “is not about the truth of whether plaintiffs [Planned Parenthood] profited from the sale of fetal tissue or otherwise violated the law in securing tissue for those programs.”

But that is exactly what the case is about.

Sandra’s well-grounded determination that Planned Parenthood was engaged in criminal activity by harvesting and selling baby body parts justified her undercover investigation. But that defense—and the enormous evidence for it—is banned in this courtroom.

It’s a huge handicap.

Yet the good news, as Liberty Counsel Chief Litigation Counsel Harry Mihet points out, is that “we serve the God of truth who is sovereign and on the throne.”

• Jurors watched Planned Parenthood abortionist Deborah Nucatola tell, between bites of salad and sips of wine—how she tries to “crush below” and “crush above” the baby’s chest cavity to get intact organs—hearts, lungs and livers.
• Planned Parenthood abortionist Dr. Mary Gatter admitted on the stand she said, “I want a Lamborghini,” when dickering over the price PP would be paid for the human organs it sells.
• Jurors watched an ABC News 20/20 undercover report from 2000 which exposed the gruesome and grotesque baby parts trade, using almost identical undercover techniques as employed by Sandra and David Daleidin.
