The challenges to faith, freedom and family are intensifying. You and I see that in Washington, DC, where congressional Democrats are attempting to unseat President Trump. It’s also obvious in places like San Francisco where Liberty Counsel is fighting abortion giant Planned Parenthood’s cruel campaign to crush and silence our client, pro-life hero Sandra Merritt.

But I have hope this Christmas. Just as a light appeared in the sky over Bethlehem to herald the birth of our Savior, so you and I can have hope for the future in the battles we face! See below. –Mat

It sounds extreme, but radicals in Washington, DC, are dragging America toward inevitable legal and political anarchy. Exhibit A: Two days ago, House Democrats voted almost unanimously to impeach President Donald Trump with no evidence of an impeachable crime.

They did so without cause—except for their own deep-seated and politically driven desire to remove him from office. It has all been a farce, a circus and will only deepen America’s bitter political divide.

And it’s happening just as we enter a dramatic, watershed Election Year. An epic clash is just ahead—one that could forever alter the future of freedom in America.

But here’s the good news...

With every adversity, God provides opportunity. When we stand up to anti-faith and anti-life assaults, we can achieve incredible victories and amazing breakthroughs! Let me give you two examples—and share why I’m hopeful for even more triumphs in 2020.

+ + With your help, we won a partial victory against Planned Parenthood

Earlier this month Liberty Counsel celebrated a partial triumph in California’s vindictive and baseless criminal case against Sandra Merritt. The court dismissed five additional counts brought by the Attorney General. Because one other count had been dismissed earlier, we are now down to nine counts from the original 15.

You can be sure we will do everything possible to eliminate all the remaining counts!

And we will soon appeal the misguided jury decision this fall awarding damages to Planned Parenthood in its outrageous civil lawsuit against Sandra Merritt. It’s an injustice that will not stand.

The trial judge—who helped launch and run a Planned Parenthood clinic before joining the federal judiciary—committed numerous reversible errors. And we’ll call them out aggressively before the appeals court soon.

But to fight this battle—and others in the year ahead—I’m asking for your urgently needed year-end gift. Please be as generous as you can!

+ + Victory against LGBT tyrants

Thanks to you, Liberty Counsel took on power-hungry LGBT interests and their authoritarian allies in Tampa city hall. . . and WON!

In a huge victory this fall for young people seeking help to resolve gender identity confusion—a federal judge rejected a Tampa ban on “change counseling.”

Such outrageous counseling bans, which are popping up nationwide, defy the First Amendment and harm countless minors.

They're a gross intrusion into the fundamental rights of counselors and clients. They bar the way to help and healing for young people who desperately WANT to overcome unwanted same-sex attractions or gender identity confusion.

Liberty Counsel's legal team has been fighting these intrusive laws in many states since 2012. Right now, we’re fighting similar bans in New Jersey, Maryland, California and Florida.

And because of a previous Supreme Court ruling, it’s not a matter of “if” but “when” the Supreme Court will take one of our cases and strike down these unconstitutional laws across the country.

But to prevail in this multi-state battle, we need your help with just a few days left in 2019.

+ + A new day at the Supreme Court!

Now is the time to fight. Thanks to the arrival of both Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch, the judicial balance is shifting on our nation’s High Court. It is my firm conviction that it is not a matter of if, but when, the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade.

I believe the High Court's prior decision on same-sex "marriage" will also be overturned. That’s why it’s so critical that our legal “war chest” be full as we enter the year. Let me give you more good news . . .
