The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) says it's "dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry." But this year it fired its co-founder, Morris Dees, amid staff allegations of racial and sexual harassment.

I call that rank hypocrisy on open display.

An ex-employee writing in The New Yorker calls the SPLC—which is attacking Liberty Counsel in order to destroy us—a "highly profitable scam." So profitable that it has amassed a nearly half-billion-dollar endowment.

It turns out that Dees had a "reputation for hitting on young women," according to The New Yorker article. And "multiple reports of sexual harassment by Dees through the years had been ignored or covered up, and sometimes resulted in retaliation against the women making the claims."

Now this so-called "civil rights champion," which allegedly ignores the civil rights of blacks and women on its own payroll, is targeting Liberty Counsel for just one purpose: to destroy us.

Clearly, the SPLC and other radical groups see the victories we are experiencing and know that Liberty Counsel is one of the strongest defenders of faith and family in our nation.

Simply put, the SPLC is out for blood. They want to take us out of the battle!

Radicals in Congress are using the same type of "out for blood" attacks against President Trump as Democrats line up to impeach him. They’re out to destroy President Trump—just like the SPLC wants to crush Liberty Counsel and irreparably harm our pro-faith, pro-family and pro-America agenda.

And that's why, with 2019 almost over, I'm asking for your help now to end the year strong—fully ready for the fights ahead.

+ + Hope in the midst of incredible attacks...

Yet, despite all this, I have great hope. It is very clear that God has placed Liberty Counsel precisely at the epicenter of these critical battles for such a time as this. And I am seeing the Lord expand the impact of this ministry, thanks in large part to the faithful partnership of friends like you.

This year, for example, we added a long-established Christian outreach operating right on Capitol Hill to the Liberty Counsel family of ministries. And when I say on Capitol Hill, I mean literally on Capitol Hill!

Called Faith & Liberty, this spiritual outreach is located one block from the U.S. Capitol and directly across from the U.S. Supreme Court. In fact, the Justices' private entrance is just a few steps from our front door!

This new base of operations gives Liberty Counsel and our family of ministries an unprecedented platform and opportunity to impact the spiritual climate in our nation's capital!

And our presence on Capitol Hill has never been more needed. That's because we are heading into one of the most challenging 30-60 days of the Trump presidency.

With House Democrats maniacally focused on impeachment, we're looking at a Senate trial on the sham charges against the President in January. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will weigh in on a host of critical issues in 2020—including Louisiana's "heartbeat bill" protecting precious unborn children from abortion.

We simply must stand for biblical truth at the highest levels of government, especially as it relates to marriage, family and the very nature of human sexuality.

As I look ahead to the tumultuous election year ahead, I'm convinced that people of faith will face even more difficult challenges and opportunities than ever before. With our expanded base of operations right on Capitol Hill, we are poised to fight back and to seize fresh opportunities to defend freedom. But I cannot do it without your help!
