Thousands surround Michigan Capitol demanding an end to Governor Whitmer's tyranny, less than one day after President Trump told governors to re-open America.

Just when it seemed like all is lost and tyranny had taken hold without so much as a peep from its victims, there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel.  In Michigan, two ordinary people frustrated by the growing tyranny coming from their governor's office decided they'd had enough.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen E. Whitmer had issued one Executive Order after another, each more outrageously restrictive than the previous. Just last week, Whitmer's edicts were as follows:

• Banned fishing with motorized boats (yet the governor's upscale friends could still use their sailboats), robbing hungry people of a way to feed their families
• Banned the sale of seeds and garden supplies, denying people the ability to grow their own food during this government-created depression and food shortage
• Banned visits between family and neighbors – making it a misdemeanor punishable by $1,000 for checking on a family member or friend

Governor Whitmer even tried to force churches to close and to ban public protests – both fundamental American rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. After a lawsuit on behalf of pro-lifers who wanted to stand on a public sidewalk more than six feet apart, Gov. Whitmer changed the state's stance to "allow" what the Constitution guarantees.

Even before the lawsuit, however, Michigan residents decided they'd had enough and began a social media campaign asking everyone to come to the Capitol, socially distancing in their cars, to make a racket Whitmer couldn't ignore.

This morning, "Operation Gridlock" was in full swing with tens of thousands of participants. Vehicles from across the state, draped with American flags, painted with liberty slogans, honking horns and demanding the restoration of freedom surrounded the Michigan State Capitol. By mid-day Wednesday, the protest had effectively shut down the governor's city because she had shut down their jobs, their lives and their freedom.

"We just want a chance to go back to work" said one woman, livestreaming from the protest where tens of thousands of cars had gathered. "We won't live in our basements waiting for permission to work" said another, before continuing, "we can't wait any longer, we want Michigan reopened TODAY."

Another stated, "I'm an adult, I can make my own decisions to provide for and protect my family -- I don't need to be treated like a child by a dictatorial governor."

Such sentiments reflect a growing anger toward local and state politicians who, in brazen grasps at political advantage, helped erase the economic gains President Trump's economy brought to working-class America.

Politicians are ignoring the Constitution. Take Cameron County, Texas, for instance, where a local county official ordered that no more than two people are allowed to ride in a car, that each must wear a mask, and that no one under 14 years old may be in the car unless it is to go to a school free lunch program or a doctor's appointment.

Further, the order says that if you are charged with a violation, you may raise as "an affirmative defense" that you are a single parent or were otherwise unable to leave your child at home! So, when you are dragged into court, you can argue you are a single parent, or it wasn't safe to leave your infant at home. Unbelievable!

We are losing liberty at an alarming rate, from the very people we elected to preserve it – our governors and local politicians.
