When the COVID crisis began four months ago, we were told in no unequivocal terms that millions of Americans were going to die. We were told the plague would endanger the lives of anyone who did not comply with their governors’ orders. Politicians shut down their states and tried to force churches closed… even as they encouraged Marxist riots.

Over four months later, the U.S. COVID death count continues to lag behind the average annual flu and pneumonia deaths. But our churches remain restricted.

Meanwhile, cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Portland have experienced riots – with some buildings shattered and burned by the same Marxist revolutionaries some governors and mayors praise.

Violent revolutions throughout history have first attacked churches.

During the French Revolution, the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris was turned into "The Temple of Reason." The church’s properties were seized by the state and the priests, deacons and bishops were either killed or made civil servants.

During the Bolshevik Revolution, the Soviets turned churches into barns and bordellos, filling God’s houses with literal and figurative filth.

Right here -- right now in America -- the stories of Liberty Counsel’s clients illustrate the growing danger all too well:

• Some California officials are threatening to shut off the utilities of churches that defy Gov. Newsom’s orders. Singing worship songs is now illegal and even Bible studies in your own home are banned.
• IL Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s City of Chicago Health Department threatened to take possession of and literally destroy Elim Romanian Pentecostal church for defying Pritzker’s illegal orders.
• ME Gov. Janet Mills decreed that only the churches she approves may open, but even then for only 10 total people, including the pastor.
• KY Gov. Andy Beshear forced church attendees into the equivalent of a 14-day house arrest for attending church.
• VA Gov. Ralph Northam limited church services to 10 people, and the pastor who had 16 people was criminally charged; police cars were stationed in the church parking lot to scare away others who might be tempted to exercise their First Amendment rights.

Our Nation is in great peril.

If we do not stop these attempts to restrict and silence our churches now, tyrants will attempt to ban the Bible next… because that’s what happens in Marxist revolutions.

It has already begun...

In Seattle, "CHOP" was chosen to replace the original acronym "CHAZ" for the Marxist-occupied zone as a reference to the guillotines of the French Revolution. Rioters there were caught on video telling crowds "What happened to the people who didn’t go along with the French Revolution? They were CHOPPED. This is the message we need to send. This is a revolution and we’re not playing around."

Religious statues around the country have been defaced, burned or torn down. Television and social media giants are refusing to air videos of the violent riots, as well as deleting posts and websites which contradict radical lies.

Facebook long ago banned any video that states biblical truth about the LGBT agenda. It will not be long before newly minted online church services are deleted and banned by the tech giants if the sermons go against their worldview.

Caesar does not have authority over the church.

There is much we can do together to resist the Marxist push. Liberty Counsel has filed five federal lawsuits on behalf of pastors and churches in Maine, Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, and California.

And there simply is not room here to tell you what we’ve learned from the more than 2,000 pastors and churches in 44 states whom we are counseling and/or representing.

On Monday, CA Gov. Gavin Newsom must respond to our lawsuit on behalf of Harvest Rock Church and Harvest International Ministry. Gov. Newsom banned ALL worship, even in private homes. Before this order, he banned singing and chanting in churches. Yet, he praised the protestors and said, "Keep it up!"

Stand with us NOW. We cannot allow Marxist revolutionaries to silence God’s people… because only the Word of God can overcome spiritual and cultural warfare such as America is experiencing.
