There are open beds at hospitals around the country, but Maine and New York are facing a crisis—not of available beds but of available staff. And this cannot be blamed on the Delta variant.

There are simply not enough nurses and other medical professionals to properly manage those beds, thanks to governors who gave the boot to health care heroes who refused the COVID shots.

Patients are suffering as a result of these governors’ abusive and insane mandates.

Now the National Guard is being called in to fix what these reckless governors have broken. But this is a joke, as I will point out below. America had a shortage of nurses even before COVID came on the scene. Just months before the virus broke out in December 2019, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing reported that despite a slight increase in nursing school enrollments in 2019, the increase was “not sufficient to meet the projected demand for nursing services, including the need for more nurse faculty, researchers, and primary care providers.”

But despite the ongoing shortage, a handful of ideologically driven governors have chosen to systematically and unlawfully fire nurses and medical professionals who choose to exercise their right to a religious exemption from the COVID shots.

These governors have created a health care crisis in their states that has little to do with the COVID virus, and everything to do with illogical and unlawful tyranny.

Multiple studies performed over the years prove that nurse shortages negatively impact patient outcomes. A 2014 study published in The Lancet; a 2013 study published in BMJ Quality & Safety; a 2011 study in The New England Journal of American Medicine and many more agree—nurse shortages directly result in higher mortality rates among patients.

Yet, NY Gov. Kathy Hochul and ME Gov. Janet Mills CONTINUE to fire all nurses and medical professionals who refuse to obey their unlawful shot mandates.

Liberty Counsel has filed lawsuits against both Gov. Hochul and Gov. Mills, defending the doctors, nurses and associated medical professionals unlawfully forced to choose between their jobs and the jabs.

As the disastrous results of the self-imposed health care crisis of New York and Maine began to unfold, the governors still refused to revoke their shot mandates. Instead, they doubled down, firing our clients who don’t want the shot and thousands of others. Now these same governors are calling up National Guard medical teams to staff the beds the governors left unmanned and unoccupied.

In New York, the National Guard produced only 120 medical professionals, far too few to make any difference when thousands of health care workers face termination.

The National Guard is also losing medical professionals, thanks to Joe Biden’s twisted shot mandate on the military. As you know, Liberty Counsel is suing Biden and the Department of Defense in a massive class action lawsuit defending military professionals against Biden’s shot orders.

Despite the fact that U.S. Department of Defense attorneys swore before the court that they would take no action against our clients until the case is resolved, military members—including medical corps—are being processed out of the service. Now even the National Guard has fewer nurses to help bail Governors Hochul and Mills out of their self-imposed health care crisis!
