One of the clients in our Navy SEAL 1 v. Biden case faced the threat of PRISON for refusing the shots. Yesterday, the DOD had to admit to the federal judge in our case that not a single religious exemption has been granted in the entire U.S. military.

Today marks yet another day in which Liberty Counsel will receive desperate pleas for help to avoid unlawful shot mandates. And while employees face losing their livelihood and students their education, the members of the military face an unbelievable threat—PRISON for refusing the shot.

Daniel* and Maryann* stood on the sidewalk outside one of our offices this week with tears pouring down their faces. Their son Samuel* was threatened with two years in prison for refusing to take Joe Biden’s mandated jab!

Samuel is an active-duty U.S. Navy SEAL. With more than a decade of service in this special operations unit, he has been deployed multiple times around the world and has earned many personal and unit awards for his loyal service to our country.

But that doesn’t matter to Joe Biden, who has now unlawfully ordered all military service members to get the shots.

Samuel filed his religious exemption with his chain of command. This paperwork should have been the end of the story. But all members of the military are being told to get the shots or be punished. NO RELIGIOUS EXEMPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Samuel has been informed that he will be charged with an “Article 92” infraction under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), which is disobedience of a direct order. An Article 92 conviction includes punishment of up to TWO YEARS IN MILITARY PRISON.

From day one, service members are informed that the UCMJ requires them to follow only LEGAL orders. Yet these orders coming from Joe Biden and his secretary of defense are ILLEGAL.

Here are the FACTS and the LAW:

(1) There is no COVID injection available that is fully approved by the FDA. The only fully approved jab, Comirnaty, is not yet available. All the shots remain under Emergency Use Authorization, which means individuals have the “option to accept or refuse.”

(2) All federal employees, including military members, are covered by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), which is a powerful law that protects religious freedom.

Thankfully, with December's passage of the National Defense Authorization Act, Samuel and others like him who refuse the COVID shot will not be dishonorably discharged, but no doubt, the military will not go easy on those who decline the shot.

Samuel’s father says, “It is unconscionable that those who have fought for our freedom, risking their lives and making great sacrifices are the ones who are being threatened. ...

“Yet given the liberal left's continued pattern of using the military to validate their social agenda, I don’t find it surprising. Which makes the prospects of them making examples of these service members who stand in their way of getting full compliance within the military all the more terrifying,” he concludes.
