We know that a human being is created at the moment of fertilization. Basic biology proves that when a sperm enters the egg, a zygote is formed. At that point, the zygote contains all the genetic DNA of a unique human being. Because the zygote contains the full human DNA, fertilization is referred to as creating a “new individual.” Science now reveals that at the time of fertilization, a flash of light occurs.

One geneticist testified in Senate hearings that “[to] accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place a new human has come into being is no longer a matter of taste or opinion ... it is plain experimental evidence.”

The fact is abortion kills an unborn human being.

Modern science, through ultrasound, brain mapping and other scientific methods, has further proven that a preborn child is a unique, living, feeling human being.

The science is now beyond question . . .

• 5 weeks—Heart starts beating.

• 8 weeks—Baby begins moving around in the womb.

• 9 weeks—Baby begins sucking thumb in womb. Unique fingerprints develop, and the baby’s basic physiological functions are present.

• 10 weeks—All vital organs function; hair, fingernails and toenails form.

• 12 weeks—Baby exhibits intentional behavior, responds to sensory experiences and can feel pain as it is either suctioned out or ripped apart by an abortionist’s tools before being scraped from the womb.

• 14 weeks—Baby can distinguish between music and other vibroacoustic noise stimulating auditory pathways in the brain. Babies move in response to music.

• 23 weeks—Babies can distinguish between different sounds in nursery rhymes.

I could go on describing child development through every week of pregnancy, but you already know the truth—a preborn child is not some blob of cells, but a human from the moment the child was conceived. And make no mistake, God has a plan for that child!

The abortion fight continues in every state. This week, we filed briefs at the state Supreme Courts of Kentucky, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Help Liberty Counsel save the lives of precious unborn children.

But Schumer, Harris and their cronies want to allow unborn children to be killed through abortion in the most brutal fashion.

Merle Hoffman, president and CEO of Choices Women’s Medical Center in Queens, New York, who was questioned under oath yesterday by Liberty Counsel, said that the “act of abortion positions women at their most powerful” because abortion gives women “power—and the responsibility—of taking life” so that they may control their own lives. This is a sickening view of abortion.

The abortion bills in Congress are far worse than Roe v. Wade. The pro-death lobby wants to eliminate all restrictions on abortion. They even want to make the gruesome “partial birth” abortions legal again … and they want YOU to pay.

It took us 50 years to overturn Roe. We must not rest now.

Planned Parenthood has already bought a fleet of RVs so they can begin offering mobile abortions on the borders of states and cities that have banned this inhumane butchery.

This demonstrates the twisted evil that fuels this sick industry.
