Margaret Sanger was a vicious racist who sought to exterminate entire swaths of the human population. Nearly 100 years after Sanger began her campaign to eliminate certain human “weeds” (in her words), Planned Parenthood is finally owning up to the awful racism upon which their founder established their organization … kind of.

“We will no longer make excuses or apologize for Margaret Sanger's actions,” wrote Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson in an op-ed published in the New York Times.

“Until recently, we have hidden behind the assertion that her beliefs were the norm for people of her class and era, always being sure to name her work alongside that of W.E.B. Du Bois and other Black freedom fighters,” Johnson continued. "But the facts are complicated."

No, the facts are not complicated at all. Sanger was a racist and eugenicist, pure and simple.

Margaret Sanger NEVER worked with the black “freedom fighters.” When blacks were still being lynched, Sanger was writing books about sterilizing blacks and aborting their children to keep their “race” from propagating.

In her 1922 booklet The Pivot of Civilization, Sanger said blacks, Irish immigrants and poor people were “weeds” that needed to be exterminated to “evolve” the human race. She was a committed Social Darwinist.

In her 1920 booklet What Every Girl Should Know, Sanger wrote, “the Aboriginal Australian, the lowest known species of the human family, just a step higher than the chimpanzee in brain development, has so little sexual control that police authority alone prevents him from obtaining sexual satisfaction on the streets.”

Sanger’s 1939 letter to fellow eugenicist Dr. Clarence Gamble says, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”

But Planned Parenthood continues to persecute our client, heroic undercover journalist Sandra Merritt, for revealing the extent of Planned Parenthood’s evil.

Sandra Merritt is the grandmother and independent journalist who caught on video Planned Parenthood officials talking about selling chopped-up pieces of aborted babies as if they were no more than sides of beef.

Sandra’s videos exposed Planned Parenthood’s schemes and even caught PP doctors bragging about the mountains of money they were making butchering baby bodies and selling their livers, eyes, brains and hearts—sometimes, one witness testified, hearts that had to be beating when removed—to the highest bidder.

When Kamala Harris served as California’s attorney general, she began a criminal investigation to stop the videos from being seen. Then Xavier Becerra, now Joe Biden’s Health and Human Services secretary, filed 16 criminal charges against Sandra. Even the liberal LA Times editorial board blasted then-Attorney General Becerra for that outrageous legal aggression.

Sandra has also been slapped with a 16-million-dollar civil judgment in favor of Planned Parenthood by a judge who supports a local PP office.

Worse yet, Kamala Harris’ criminal investigation into Sandra still stands. Sandra faces up to 10 years in prison for exposing the truth about Planned Parenthood’s crimes.

California has NEVER prosecuted a journalist for undercover work … that is, until a journalist threatened the unspeakable activities at Planned Parenthood.

We are defending Sandra in court against both the criminal and civil charges. Liberty Counsel has managed to get some of the charges dropped in the criminal case. But many remain, and Sandra continues to face up to a decade in prison. This case has become the most expensive in our history.
