Liberty Counsel has been very busy this past year, defending religious freedom, the sanctity of human life and the family. This has been the most pivotal year in our history at the U.S. Supreme Court and in other critical litigation. The victories this past year will have generational impact. Read on to see what we have accomplished. —Mat
Your generosity helps Liberty Counsel shine the light of God’s truth and righteousness in this dark world. Praise God, in His graciousness, He has provided funds for a new Challenge Grant that will DOUBLE THE IMPACT of every donation made today. Please help us fund the fight for liberty in 2023!

Last year was one of the busiest and most significant years in Liberty Counsel’s history. By the grace of God and a lot of hard work, we were able to accomplish remarkable things for His kingdom.
- Our amicus brief helped overturn Roe v. Wade! The High Court cited our brief in its ruling overturning the horrible 1973 Roe v. Wade and 1992 Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey abortion decisions.
- We WON a unanimous 9-0 victory at the Supreme Court ruling in the “Christian flag” case and overturned the 1971 Lemon test that had been used to attack religious and Christian expression, symbols and displays for 51 years in Shurtleff v. City of Boston. All nine Justices agreed that censoring the Christian flag in Boston was religious viewpoint discrimination and a violation of the First Amendment.
This was one of the most significant and expensive years in Liberty Counsel history. Help us continue the fight with our year-end Challenge Grant that will DOUBLE YOUR GIFT’S IMPACT.
- Our Shurtleff Christain flag case and amicus brief helped win the “Praying Coach” case, Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, ruling in favor of the high school football coach who was fired for silently praying on the field after games. The Court also cited our Shurtleff v. Boston “Christian flag” case in this ruling.
- We WON a historic class action settlement against a private employer that denied health care workers religious freedom rights in Jane Does v. NorthShore University HealthSystem. NorthShore had to pay $10,337,500 to compensate these health care workers whose religious beliefs against taking an injection associated with aborted fetal cells were violated. This is the first and only class action monetary settlement in the country.
- We OVERTURNED a ban on Christian counseling for minors suffering from gender confusion, transgenderism and unwanted same-sex attractions and behaviors in Otto v. Boca Raton. As a result, Christian mental health counselors in Florida, Georgia and Alabama are now free to help their minor clients.
- We SUED THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION and WON class action relief and a classwide preliminary injunction on behalf of all U.S. Marines who were denied religious accommodations from the COVID shots.
Help FUND THE FIGHT for RELIGIOUS FREEDOM in 2023!
The battles to come ...
- In February 2023, we will return to the U.S. District Court of Florida seeking to convert the classwide preliminary injunction to a permanent injunction preventing the Biden administration from unlawfully denying Marines’ religious freedom rights.
- We are defending the undercover journalist who exposed Planned Parenthood’s horrific “Baby Parts for Sale” scheme. Sandra Merritt faces 10 years in prison and millions of dollars in civil fines for telling the TRUTH about Planned Parenthood’s human organ trafficking program.
We need YOUR HELP to continue the fight for life and liberty.
As I said, this has been the most significant and expensive year in Liberty Counsel history. The attacks on religious freedom, on the family and on helpless babies are coming more frequently and more viciously.
Thankfully, a new Challenge Grant will DOUBLE THE IMPACT of every donation made today. Please help us fight for liberty in 2023.
THANK YOU for partnering with Liberty Counsel! May you and your family have a blessed New Year!
