Forced Sterilization Is Back From The Dead

Jun 5, 2023

Last week, I told you about Myrna*, the mom who sent her daughter to therapy for anxiety and an eating disorder and wound up with a therapist pushing gender ideology. There’s much more to this story.

Myrna, who holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, says the medical industry is now practicing eugenics on children with autism spectrum disorders. She says the medical industry is hijacking teen angst for highly profitable designer surgeries.

The forced sterilization movement was rampant in the early 20th century, especially among people of color. It continued in some parts of the country until the 1970s. This Darwinian ideology fueled the Holocaust and created Planned Parenthood.

Lest you think this is the dark past, this sterilization practice is back with a vengeance under the guise of a different name. — Mat

As a clinical psychologist, Myrna* wanted to get her daughter Joelle* the best possible help for her eating disorder, anxiety, and ADHD. But Myrna learned that the therapist was trying to talk her 17-year-old daughter into testosterone and mutilating surgeries.

In a scathing open letter to her daughter’s former therapist and the “gender affirming care” industry as a whole, Myrna laid waste to the current treatment practices maiming and sterilizing children while leaving them in far greater emotional distress.

One of the most significant points Myrna identifies in her letter is the gross mistreatment of children and young adults on the autism spectrum. According to Myrna, the “gender affirming care” industry is practicing eugenics — the evil Nazi (Darwinian) idea that the human race should be cleansed of persons with “defects.”

Myrna notes certain aspects of autism result in a “collapsing and narrowing focus” on gender identity as a way of explaining and coping with what makes life so difficult in the formative years.

Instead of embracing a life-altering surgery that will permanently maim her daughter’s body, compliments of the gender industry, Myrna sought treatment from autism professionals who helped her daughter “reconcile being socially awkward and having idiosyncratic interests and will be better for it as she inhabits her full adult self sometime in her late 20’s.”

In other words, Myrna won’t allow her daughter to be sterilized and mutilated to treat the teen angst that generally resolves when the frontal lobe of the brain fully develops in the mid-20s.

Joelle is a “brilliant and beautiful human being whose entire future came so close to being stolen from her by the gender transition industry,” wrote Myrna in her open letter to the “gender care” industry.

It is alarming that an entire generation of gifted children who may be on the autism spectrum is being sterilized in what amounts to a eugenics experiment with the participation of big-name medical and professional institutions, and to the benefit of a novel category of mental health practitioners: gender therapists.”

A new rash of studies gives credence to Myrna’s claims.

Two years ago, in one of the largest studies done to date on the subjects, 641,860 autistic individuals were studied for rates of gender dysphoria diagnosis. The findings are astonishing.

The studies show that people on the autism spectrum are more than five times more likely to be diagnosed with “gender dysphoria” than the general population. In fact, the study showed that as many as 26% of people receiving treatment at “gender clinics” are on the autism spectrum.

It turns out that AUTISM itself and its hallmark of obsessive compulsions may be causing feelings of gender dysphoria. This isn’t surprising to anyone familiar with high-functioning autism, often called Asperger’s Disorder.

Asperger’s patients typically hyper-focus and obsess on one area of life. Whereas some with Asperger’s might present with obsessive and compulsive behaviors, like flipping a light switch on and off 20 times before leaving the house, other Asperger’s patients project their behaviors by becoming obsessed with certain subjects, for instance, feeling compelled to learn anything and everything about dinosaurs or robotics. Still others, the data is beginning to reveal, turn that obsessive focus upon themselves.

Another hallmark of autism and Asperger’s is difficulty in understanding social behaviors and the patient’s place within the world. Put simply, Asperger’s patients, in particular, teens, have difficulty understanding their role and how to behave in social situations. As a result, these kids don’t feel like they “fit in” with their peers.

Understanding this, it is no stretch to imagine that, unable to fit in, these kids and young adults begin obsessing about themselves and begin to imagine that if they simply changed their body, they would fit in,

Myrna’s letter illustrates the fact that children on the autism spectrum are not receiving the therapy they need to help them.

Liberty Counsel is fighting in courtrooms across the country to defend our children even as we continue to defend life, religious liberty, and the natural family. Our aim is to get one of these counseling ban laws before the U.S. Supreme Court so we can free the captives that the LGBTQ community and its profit-focused medical industry have taken with designer drugs and surgeries. We will not stop fighting until every ban on Christian counseling is overturned once and for all. But we need YOUR help.

Please prayerfully consider making a recurring monthly donation to fund our legal battles. Every donation today will be DOUBLED in IMPACT by a special Challenge Grant. Please, give generously today.

NO government should prevent people from receiving counseling. Help Liberty Counsel overturn the Christian Change Counsel bans!
