The opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris was a shocking celebration of the demonic that included an overt mockery of the Last Supper.

This unholy display was more than just a mockery of Jesus Christ. It is symbolic of the physical and spiritual battle warring around us, a battle against child sacrifice and child mutilation — and Liberty Counsel is fighting this ancient battle in modern courtrooms every day.

In the Olympic opening ceremony mocking Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, a naked blue man frolicked around the stage representing pagan gods. Dionisis, the god of drunkenness and insanity; Poseidon, the god of the sea, held his trident; Minerva, Mars, and Artemis, represented by drag queens and sexual deviants, were all present in the unholy display. Jesus was replaced by an obese woman in a halo with a nearby child dressed as Cupid, paying homage to the Greek goddess Aphrodite.

The Bible mentions Greek pagan gods, including Zeus, Athena, and Artemis. Zeus is the Greek equivalent of the Canaanite-Phoenician god Baal (and the Roman god Jupiter is the later equivalent of Zeus). Jezebel and others worshipped Baal by killing babies and burning their bodies.

Despite their different names down through history, these pagan demons remain the same — evil entities determined to destroy humanity by destroying God’s greatest creation: men and women, and especially children.

The Bible tells us that Jezebel worshipped both Baal and Ishtar

When the Phoenician princess, Jezebel, became the wife of King Ahab of the northern tribes of Israel, she brought with her the pagan gods of Baal, Molech, and Ishtar (“Queen of Heaven”), which became a model for Aphrodite. One ancient poem claims Ishtar could turn “a male into a female and a female into a male.”

Like the slaves that guarded harems, the genitals of prepubescent boys were surgically removed to prevent them from having relations with the females they were to guard.

This horrific procedure was often performed before puberty to prevent natural testosterone from masculinizing the boys into men, and therefore to prepare them for service in guarding Ishtar’s sex-slave priestesses.

From the prayer to the pagan gods on the Olympic X account to the celebration of demons and the mocking of Jesus with LGBTQ debauchery, the face of Satan may change, but the objective remains the same — destruction of men and women, and especially children.

Whether it is abortion or mutilating surgeries on children, this is the battle we face every day. We fight these battles in the spiritual and in the courtrooms and halls of public policy across this country.

The children mutilated by the fanatical LGBTQ brigade are being enslaved. The removal of these children’s organs is irreversible. Cosmetic surgery may modify the outward appearance, but every cell of our body is stamped as male or female. And of course, abortion is the ultimate destruction — taking the very life of a child before it even draws its first breath.

Just as the Bible tells us Jezebel worshipped these pagan demons, the practices she and others undertook are at work to this day. According to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, 878,000 American children were sacrificed in the first 10 months of 2023 alone. At the same time, tens of thousands of children were put on puberty blockers in preparation for mutilation.

Liberty Counsel is fighting abortion — the U.S. Supreme Court cited our amicus brief in overturning Roe v. Wade, and we continue to fight for life in states trying to make child sacrifice a constitutional “right.”

The works of the Greek gods and goddesses celebrated at the Olympic ceremony reflect the evil spirits these demons have normalized in our modern world, namely through abortion and child endangerment.
