Donald Trump has been demonized by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) no less than 996 times on its website. The SPLC falsely demonizes people with whom they disagree as “extremists” and “hate groups.”
Is it any wonder there was a THIRD assassination attempt on President Trump’s life Sunday afternoon? As you may recall, the first assassination attempt was in June 2016, when an illegal alien traveled from California to try to shoot President Trump at a Las Vegas rally.
Donald Trump isn’t the SPLC’s only target for destruction — for the last 13 years, the SPLC has been trying to bankrupt Liberty Counsel.
In 2011, the SPLC falsely labeled Liberty Counsel as a “hate group.” The intent of these labels, according to the SPLC spokesperson Mark Potok, is to “totally destroy” the organizations to which they are unjustly applied.
The SPLC’s “Hate Map” website has 187 articles specifically denigrating Liberty Counsel. More than 71 articles disparage our top attorneys, personally, by name. And for the last seven years, they have used a frivolous lawsuit to try to “destroy” our organization.
Help Liberty Counsel defend against the SPLC’s latest attack by supporting our legal fund today!

For 13 long years, the Southern Policy Law Center (SPLC) has engaged in frivolous lawfare against Liberty Counsel. The SPLC’s case has no merit or evidence, but its aim is to tie up our time and resources, attempting to financially bankrupt us with mountains of paperwork and distract us from our mission — defending life, religious liberty, and the family.
This is one of the longest cases in Liberty Counsel history, one in which we are defending ourselves against the SPLC’s hate-filled agenda.
Using its near billion-dollar endowment, the SPLC took on a frivolous case of Janet Jenkins and hired a boatload of high-priced law firms to try to litigate us into bankruptcy.
More than 186,000 documents, 25 depositions, 11,000 pages of exhibits, and 6,800 pages of transcripts all prove Liberty Counsel is INNOCENT.
But the lawsuit had a secondary purpose — to tie up our time in an effort to prevent us from doing our real work — defending the right to life, religious liberty, and the family.
Last Friday night, at 10 p.m. ET, our attorneys filed what we pray will be the last filing in this matter. In our request for summary judgment, we filed about 160 pages of legal argument, adding up to over 500 pages of legal arguments and thousands of exhibits.
Now it will be up to the judge to determine if this frivolous and malicious lawsuit will be ended once and for all, or if the SPLC will be allowed to drag us to trial to waste yet more of our time and resources.
Please be in prayer for a positive result, and please consider making a special gift to our legal fund. This lengthy case has drained our resources considerably, as the SPLC likely intended. We need YOUR help to refill that fund so we can continue to do our REAL work — defending life, religious freedom, and the natural family. Every dollar you give will be DOUBLED by a special Challenge Grant.
