Hebrews 11 in the New Testament discusses the importance of faith and provides examples of biblical figures who have left a great legacy in God’s Kingdom. These are people who never asked to be considered “heroes,” yet they demonstrated remarkable faith by trusting God and acting on His promises, even when they faced difficulties and dangers. Some examples are Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joesph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, and Samuel.
Since 1989, Liberty Counsel also has had the privilege of knowing and defending some of America’s heroes. These are people whose strong faith in God carries them through persecution for simply standing for truth.

In recent years, many of these courageous Americans have faced the battle against government tyranny regarding the COVID-19 shot mandate.
In fact, Liberty Counsel continues to litigate on behalf of seven Maine health care workers who were fired after being unlawfully denied religious accommodations during the state’s unconstitutional COVID-19 mandate. The health care workers refused the experimental shot due to their sincerely held religious beliefs.
In New York, Liberty Counsel continues to litigate on behalf of five state health care workers who were fired for refusing to take the COVID shot due to their deeply held religious convictions.
Liberty Counsel recently obtained a victory in a lawsuit on behalf of three former longstanding musicians who were fired from an orchestra in Southwest Florida because they had sincere religious objections to the organization’s COVID-19 shot mandate. The visual and performing arts nonprofit organization violated Florida and federal law, and now the incredibly talented musicians have received compensation for standing up for their beliefs.
Regarding military service members, after the Department of Defense issued unconstitutional shot mandates in 2021, more than 8,300 service members were involuntarily discharged from the military due to objections to the shot and nearly all religious accommodation requests to abstain from taking it were uniformly denied.
As a result of Liberty Counsel’s class action lawsuits, multiple restraining orders, and injunctions, including a classwide injunction, the military COVID-19 shot mandate was eliminated. The Pentagon was ordered to pay Liberty Counsel for attorney’s fees and costs after two years of litigation and 8,200 hours in pro bono legal work.
In addition, President Donald Trump has pledged to rehire the service members who were fired over the shot mandate with full back pay! And Liberty Counsel has now been asked to write the language for the Department of Defense directive!
