Supreme Court Will Decide Blockbuster Case

Dec 5, 2024

Tennessee’s passed a law to protect children from the latest experimental designer surgery and drug fad that has arisen in the 10 years since the TLC cable network began promoting “I Am Jazz,” a reality television show about one family’s attempts to turn their little boy into a “girl.”

But the LGBTQ mafia, along with the plastic surgeons and cross-sex hormone drug pushers (like Planned Parenthood — now the nation’s largest provider of so-called “gender transition services”), are SUING the state of Tennessee to remove its child protection laws.

The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in U.S. v. Skrmetti yesterday, a case in which Liberty Counsel filed a compelling brief in this critical case that will have national impact.

Help us fight to protect children, and a special Challenge Grant will DOUBLE the impact of your donation.

In 2007, six-year-old Jazz Jennings, born male, appeared on national TV with Barbara Walters, an interview arranged by his mother, Jeanette. The mother continued to push Jazz to believe he was born in the wrong body. Jazz became a media favorite pushing a dangerous lie.

In 2015, TLC began airing a gender bending reality TV show following the confused child and his family. Since the show began to air, so called “gender affirming” surgeries on minors have increased more than five-fold. One clinic saw a 504% increase in referrals following the show’s premier.

Nearly every single study on “transgenderism” shows a shocking “explosion” of cases since "I Am Jazz” began glorifying gender dysphoria.

But on the eighth year of the “I Am Jazz” reality TV show, Jazz breaks down and says he continually harbors negative thoughts and “never” feels like “herself.” Jazz has gone through several mutilating surgeries with terrible results.

Then, in January 2021, Jazz revealed he had been diagnosed with a “binge eating disorder” and “food addiction” which caused him to gain over 100 pounds. Jazz’s social media pages have since documented his struggle to lose weight and control his eating disorder. Clearly, the young man’s underlying mental issues have never been addressed.

Everywhere you look in America, there are laws designed to protect children from making bad decisions that could cause them harm.

Science tells us that the frontal lobe of the human brain — the part that governs decision-making — is not yet fully formed until a person reaches their mid-twenties. As a result, American law seeks to protect children from making potentially devastating decisions with lifelong implications. For instance:

  • Minors cannot consent to have sex, get a tattoo, or buy fireworks, cigarettes, or pornography — because all those things can be harmful, especially to a young brain that hasn’t finished “wiring” itself.

  • Minors cannot enter into a contract, take out a loan, open a checking account, or even join the military without parental permission, because those actions have long-term implications that the undeveloped minor’s brain may not be able to fully conceive.

These laws recognize that children under the age of 18 are simply not yet equipped with the decision-making skills to make life-altering decisions.  Mutilating surgeries, puberty blockers, and opposite sex hormones should be no different.

Liberty Counsel has filed our brief with the High Court. We argue that Tennessee and other states can protect children by prohibiting prescribed medications and mutilating surgeries. However, states cannot ban pure talk therapy where the counselor merely talks with a client. Liberty Counsel has led the nation challenging laws that ban counselors from talking with clients to help them overcome unwanted attractions, behaviors, and gender confusion.

We are also working on additional child-protecting litigation and legislation beyond this case. But we need your help to protect children from the multi-billion-dollar industry composed of designer plastic surgeons and Planned Parenthood’s chemical castration pill pushers.

Praise God, a generous donor has established a special Challenge Grant that will DOUBLE every donation to our legal fund between now and midnight on December 31. Please, help us save the children with your gift today.

Finally, pray that the Lord will intercede to protect our children from those who seek to destroy these precious images of God.
