To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and he went on his journey. — Matthew 25:15
Since the founding of Liberty Counsel in 1989, we have been dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and the family through education and strategic litigation. As a result, we strive to help restore the culture to America’s Judeo-Christian foundation.
The greatest investment we can make is in the future of our children. That’s why we actively litigate so they can know the Good News of Jesus Christ.
For example:
We won our lawsuit on behalf of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Hawaii and its Good News Clubs against the Hawaii State Department of Education and six different elementary schools. We won a statewide injunction. The Good News Clubs must be given equal access and can freely share the love of the Lord with children.
We recently sued Oakland Unified School District in California for denying Child Evangelism Fellowship Good News Clubs access to district facilities on an equal basis with other similar non-religious organizations.
We filed a lawsuit and won a permanent injunction that grants equal access for Good News Clubs in Rhode Island, and we also opened the shut doors at East Rivers Elementary School in Atlanta, Baltimore County Public Schools in Maryland, and Lompoc Unified School District, East Whittier School District, Fallbrook Union Elementary School District, and Chico Unified School District in California.
We also have intervened and won equal access for Bible clubs in Seminole County, Florida, Santa Barbara, California, Richardson Elementary in Minnesota, and Hampden Academy in Maine.
As LGBTQ propaganda has become more rampant in public schools, we have protected parents’ rights to opt out their children from this indoctrination in Skokie School District in Illinois and Osseo Area Schools District in Minnesota.
In Charlotte County Public Schools in Virginia, a group of high school students were rebuked for discussing Bible verses in the classroom. Liberty Counsel intervened and the superintendent agreed and reversed course.
These are just some of the ways we have protected the religious freedom of students this year!
