URGENT! Immediate prayers and support are needed as I am in court RIGHT NOW defending Kim Davis against the LGBTQ lawsuit designed to bankrupt Christians who exercise their First Amendment rights!

But first, I have some excellent news! Glory hallelujah! On Monday, after a nearly decade-long ordeal of persecution for exposing Planned Parenthood’s evil and unlawful “Baby Parts for Sale” scheme, Sandra Merritt is a FREE WOMAN! For months, we have been negotiating with the California attorney general’s office. And on Monday, the judge in San Francisco approved our agreement. No jail time. No fines. No penalties!

But our work defending those who defend God’s Word is not over.

As you read this, I will be at the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of Kim Davis. This is yet another case trying to punish and silence Christians.

Ten years ago, Sandra’s undercover videos revealed Planned Parenthood doctors and officials openly bragging about performing dangerous and illegal partial-birth abortions to fuel their equally unlawful human-organ trafficking, money-making scheme. Some of those babies were purposefully delivered alive, only to be butchered while the children lived and breathed in order to sell their organs at an even higher price on the human-organ trafficking circuit.

Not one Planned Parenthood official was charged with a crime or went to jail. Instead, California’s then-attorney general, Kamala Harris, instigated a criminal investigation — not into Planned Parenthood — but against Sandra Merritt. Sandra was slapped with 16 felony charges and faced 10 years in prison, plus exorbitant fines that would bankrupt the pro-life grandmother turned whistleblower.

Liberty Counsel has been defending Sandra for a decade. Her case is the longest and most expensive in Liberty Counsel’s history.

On Monday, Liberty Counsel’s attorneys pressed the State of California to end this nightmare for Sandra.

Sandra will serve no prison time, pay no fines, and have no other penalties imposed for revealing the truth about Planned Parenthood. The deal is a victory for Sandra in this politically motivated criminal case.

Sandra is now a free woman! Her 10-year ordeal and a decade’s worth of stress and fear of spending her golden years in a cold prison cell for reporting someone else’s crime are finally over. Praise the Lord!

But Kim Davis remains under attack. TODAY, I am before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals defending Kim Davis’ right to exercise her First Amendment rights.

Much like Sandra’s case, Liberty Counsel has also been defending Kim for 10 years. In 2015, Kim stopped issuing ANY marriage licenses as she awaited clarification of her First Amendment religious freedom rights. A state judge even threw Kim in jail for six days. But Kim prevailed, winning those religious accommodation rights not only for herself but also for all other Kentucky officials.

But then a disgruntled LGBTQ couple sued Kim, seeking to bankrupt her. A jury improperly awarded David Ermold and David Moore 100,000 dollars in damages for “emotional distress” based on “hurt feelings.” The judge then tacked on another 260,000 dollars in court costs and attorney fees.

This is outrageous! If a person can be sued for exercising their First Amendment rights, then those are not rights at all!

We are asking the appeals court to overturn the wrongful judgment against Kim. In addition, we intend to take this case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court where we will ask the High Court to overturn an earlier activist opinion in Obergefell v. Hodges, which upset millennia of history regarding marriage. 

These two cases are the longest and most expensive cases in Liberty Counsel history. We’ve put in tens of thousands of hours on these cases, but we have never charged either of these women — or any other client — because we know that few could afford to defend themselves against a government gone mad.
