Liberty v. ACLU. . .

The ACLU is trying to force Christian schools to promote drag queens and up to 74 so-called “genders.” The ACLU’s latest test case seeks to force all Christian universities and schools to abandon their doctrine and replace it with the LGBTQ’s warped ideology.

The ACLU case against Liberty University was a setup from the beginning, with a singular goal — force Christian schools to promote sexual deviancy and so-called “transgenderism.” 

The setup began in 2023 when a biological male named Jonathan Zinski had been taking female hormones for four months before he applied to work at Liberty University.

Then Jonathan LIED. As part of the hiring process, Jonathan signed a doctrinal statement agreeing to abide by the university’s deeply held religious beliefs as a condition of employment. The doctrinal statement clearly states that God created male and female in His image.  

In fact, the university’s doctrinal statement notes that “Human beings were directly created, not evolved, in the very image of God, as either biologically male or female from the womb.” Additionally, “Sinful acts are prohibited by God and include ... denial of birth sex by self-identification with a different gender.” 

Despite having every intention of continuing the female hormones and undergoing mutilating surgeries, Jonathan LIED to get the job just so he could sue the university for “discrimination.”

The moment Jonathan’s 90-day probation period was over, he dropped what he thought was a bomb on LU. He revealed his plans and demanded that the university not only call him by his new name, “Ellenor,” but also allow him to dress in drag at work — all of which is in direct contradiction to the doctrinal agreement Jonathan deceitfully signed. In fact, in Jonathan’s demand letter to the school, he admitted he had deceitfully and fraudulently signed that contract!

Jonathan/Ellenor’s entire employment was a sham designed to destroy the university’s Christian doctrine. Jonathan, with the help of the ACLU, is now SUING Liberty University. Liberty Counsel is now fighting back and ready to take this case to the Supreme Court.

Jonathan’s ENTIRE agenda was not to seek a career with the university but to set up the esteemed university for a discrimination lawsuit that would not only financially benefit him but also force the school to abandon the very doctrine upon which it was founded by Dr. Jerry Falwell in 1971. 

The university has been true to its Christian mission and does not plan on changing to accommodate something that is not biblical. The idea that you can choose your “gender” is absurd. God created male and female.

Allowing employees to fundamentally ignore the biological reality of their God-given birth would violate the university’s sincerely held religious beliefs.  

Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act enables religious organizations to create and maintain communities composed solely of individuals faithful to their doctrinal practices, whether or not every individual plays a direct role in the organization’s religious activities. 

The law is clear. Non-believers may not force religious employers to drop or violate their deeply held religious beliefs.  

But the ACLU is launching an all-out war with this case to try to overturn that law. The ACLU and Jonathan aim is to extinguish Christian institutions’ ability to uphold biblical doctrine and shine Christ’s light into this ever-darkening world. 

We look forward to facing the ACLU and Jonathan/Ellenor in court. We will not allow the ACLU to steamroll this Christian school, or any other — because if the ACLU wins, no Christian institution will be safe. Christian universities, schools, and yes, even churches will be forced to hire drag queens and promote the LGBTQ agenda if we lose. We cannot allow this to happen.
