Proverbs 22:6 tells us, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Even the secular philosopher Aristotle agreed, saying, “Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man.”

Statistics show that the majority (nearly 85%, in fact) of people who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior make that first commitment before the ages of 12-14.

The 4-14 window is the critical formative years of a young person’s moral foundations and values. And that is precisely why the anti-God left is trying to keep children AWAY from the Word of God.

“Whoever captures the kids owns the future,” wrote lesbian author Patricia Warren in an article for the LGBTQ publication The Advocate 30 years ago, in 1995.

One quick look at our current caseload well demonstrates just how far the LGBTQ agenda has progressed in their attempts to “capture” our children.

After-School Bible Clubs Banned. . .

“Woke” school districts from coast to coast have tried to prevent children from attending after-school Bible clubs, like Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Good News Clubs, despite allowing secular after-school clubs to meet. That’s clear-cut discrimination.

In the fall of 2024, Liberty Counsel won an injunction against the State of Hawaii, preventing them from ever again discriminating against after-school Bible clubs. We just received a report that the first Good News Clubs began to meet in the Aloha State. And this after we won a similar injunction against schools in Rhode Island.

We are litigating two other cases in California and have seven other cases in process. Liberty Counsel has NEVER lost a case representing Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Good News Clubs, but the woke left hasn't gotten the message yet — so we will continue to fight every one of these cases until the anti-God censors stop discriminating against Christian kids.

Harassment of Christians on Campus. . .

In another one of our cases, a homosexual male teacher has been busy trying to harass Christian high school students into silence, and to run off Christian teachers who mentor teenagers in after-school Bible clubs.

The homosexual teacher has repeatedly destroyed Christian student artwork and filed volumes of frivolous unfounded complaints against the Bible club’s faculty leaders in an effort to get those Christian teachers fired and/or harass the Christian educators into quitting their jobs. One teacher already quit as a result of the harassment. Liberty Counsel is defending the remaining Bible club faculty leader.

Custody Case Church Attendance Ban. . .

As part of custody orders, a family court judge in the state of Maine has banned a mother from taking her own daughter to church, citing a Marxist California sociologist who claims the Bible teaches “hate” and “discrimination.”

Liberty Counsel has picked up this case on appeal. The law is very clear — the government must not interfere with a parent’s decision to raise a child in his or her own faith.

If this judge’s errant ruling is allowed to stand, we can expect to see child custody cases from coast to coast banning parents from instilling the good news of Jesus Christ in their own children’s lives.

There are many more cases like these, but they all demonstrate what Ms. Warren declared back in 1995 — kids are our future. The enemy knows it, so they are doing everything they can to keep children from learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

While President Trump is doing an amazing job, executive orders will not make these cases, or the problems behind them, disappear. Instead, we must continue to fight in court until the anti-God siege against Christians and Christianity ends.
