During COVID, Joe Biden’s U.S. military brass went into overdrive trying to force Christians out of the service. Christian service members were given a choice — take the dangerous, experimental, abortion-linked COVID shot or face dishonorable discharge with a loss of all rank, retirement, and benefits. Some military members were even threatened with being thrown in the brig (Navy prison). 

Liberty Counsel stepped in and defended our brave military members’ religious freedom rights — which include the right to a religious exemption from the shots. It took time, but we eventually won in the courts, forcing Joe Biden and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to rescind their unlawful shot mandates. 

But many of Biden and Lloyd’s acolytes are still serving — and now they are taking their revenge on many of our clients, including LtC. Mary* of whom I wrote frequently during the COVID mandate years. 

Holdovers from Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s “woke” military brass are RETALIATING against many of the Christian military members we protected from Joe Biden’s unlawful shot mandates. This Memorial Day, help Liberty Counsel continue to DEFEND OUR DEFENDERS by supporting our legal fund.

Mary’s whole life, it seems, has been a fight for survival. As a teen, she was brutally raped. The assault left bruises on her body and a baby in her womb. Out of humiliation and anger, she chose to have an abortion. But the abortion left scars on Mary’s soul. The humiliation of her rape was compounded by the shame of taking her unborn child’s life. Mary hated herself, so she joined the Marine Corps hoping that service would either erase the pain from her soul or kill her in the line of duty.

But the love of a fellow Christian Marine saved Mary’s life and soul.

George* taught Mary about the saving grace, forgiveness, and new life Jesus Christ offers. Her guilt and shame were washed away. Mary was born again. She married George, and they both continued to serve in the Marine Corps while also starting a ministry for young women who had suffered like Mary. Mary shares her powerful testimony of God’s love, grace, and forgiveness whenever the Holy Spirit leads. Mary’s story is a wonderful example of how God can turn even the greatest shame and heartbreak into something glorious. 

At the time of Joe Biden’s COVID mandates, Mary had earned 20 years of service, many medals and citations and the rank of Lt. Colonel. But her faith came first. She could no more take an abortion-linked shot than she could abort another child. She refused, and Joe Biden’s military tried to throw this highly decorated officer out of the military, refusing to grant the religious exemption to which Mary was legally entitled.

Liberty Counsel intervened on behalf of Mary and thousands of other military members in the same predicament, and won. Biden and Secretary for Defense Austin were forced to revoke their unlawful shot mandate.

We prevented the military from unlawfully firing Mary and thousands of others. So now certain military officials are retaliating against our clients. 

Mary, for example, is overdue for a promotion but has been denied her boards. Undeterred, she continued in her exemplary military service to our country. So now her superior officers have trumped-up “racism” charges against this honorable LtC.

The charges stem from a comment Mary made to a subordinate, stating that “he needs to do better.” The man to whom Mary made this comment is black. So is Mary. The subordinate officer himself even agreed that Mary’s comment was true — he was not performing at his best. But the woke commanders, apparently upset they were not successful at getting rid of this Christian LtC. three years ago charged her with racism. 

Mary’s isn’t the only case of post-COVID retaliation Liberty Counsel is handling, and it likely won't be the last until we can eradicate all remaining remnants of Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s efforts to cleanse Christians from the U.S. military. We need your help.
