Jane*, a high school senior, scored in the 96th percentile, earning a 1450 score on her SATs. She has a weighted GPA of 4.76 and is a student leader in many of the public school’s extracurricular activities.
But instead of being rewarded for her scholarship with a Valedictorian role, the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) district is refusing to let Jane graduate — all because her religious faith prevented her from taking an anti-Christian, pro-LGBTQ+ “health” class that insists Christians are effectively white supremacists and that “queer” lifestyles are normal and healthy.
Allow me to remind you here that the “Q” in LGBTQ stands for “queer,” which by definition encompasses over 550 “paraphilias” including necromancy, pedophilia, and bestiality among other sexual deviancies.
The LGBTQ health class curriculum pushed by the MCPS is an LGBTQ indoctrination class ... with a tremendous amount of anti-Christian sentiment thrown in. In fact, the class repeatedly attempts to tie Christianity with white supremacy, dovetailing with the attempts of Barack Obama and Joe Biden to paint Christians as “white Christian nationalists,” aka white supremacists.
The class requires students to “understand” that Christians are a privileged class, that non-Christians suffer discrimination via “health inequities.” Students in the class are even forced to admit and “recognize white supremacy culture.”
The entire class was offensive to both Jane and her devout Christian parents. Jane’s parents requested a religious exemption that would spare Jane from the anti-Christian indoctrination attempts. The school district refused.
Jane’s parents even offered to have their daughter take a health class at a nearby Catholic school in lieu of the public school’s anti-Christian health class. Again, the school district refused. Jane’s parents wrote:
We are not trying to get MCPS to stop teaching about LGBTQ+ or change its curriculum. We are trying to get MCPS to keep that teaching restricted to the Family Life and Human Sexuality part of the curriculum so we can get notice of it and opt-out our daughter, or if MCPS is allowed to spread LGBTQ+ instruction throughout the entire health class, as its teacher instruction materials say it is doing, it follows that MCPS should allow us to opt-out our daughter from the entire class. We are trying to get MCPS to refrain from discriminating against religion.
The MCPS and the Maryland State Board of Education were unmoved. Either Jane must take the LGBTQ health class, or the star scholar would not be allowed to graduate high school.
“She’s pretty distraught about not being able to graduate with all her friends and experience that rite of passage,” according to Jane’s Dad. But the girl and her family are unwilling to participate in the district’s LGBTQ indoctrination, or the class’s requirement that Christians effectively deny their faith or “confess” to be racist.
Sadly, we are getting a lot more cases like these lately, where leftist teachers and school administrators are openly violating Christian student and parents' rights, while also trying to indoctrinate children against the Bible.
Meanwhile, the leftists in Congress, joined by a handful of Republicans, are trying to bring back the Equality Act.
Rep. Mark Takano (D-CA) and Sen. Merkley (D-OR) have introduced HR 15 and S 1503, “The Equality Act of 2025.” This version is just as bad as every previous version the Democrats have introduced.
In addition to making the LGBTQ members — including those who participate in each of the 550 sexual deviancies like pedophilia and bestiality encompassed in “Q” for “queer” — this bill specifically revokes the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. That means that Christian church goers, preachers, and even Christian schools must accept and promote the LGBTQ agenda — or face prosecution and civil lawsuits for “discrimination.”
If passed, our once free country will turn into European countries where parts of the Bible regarding God’s design for human sexuality are labeled as prosecutable “hate speech.”
We MUST NOT allow this bill to pass. Please, take a moment right now to fax Congress and demand they VOTE NO on HR 15 and S 1503.
