Stopping this 1-Way Ticket to Suicide

Aug 6, 2025

Gender-Affirming “Care” is a One-Way Ticket to Suicide

Statistics paint a bleak outlook for children and adults

whose LGBTQ inclinations are “affirmed.”

  • Forty-one percent of LGBTQ youths have seriously contemplated suicide.
  • LGBTQ youth contemplate suicide 4 times more frequently than youth who identify as hetero.
  • “Transgendered” youth are 5.87 times more likely to attempt suicide.
  • Thirty to forty percent of “trans” people report having attempted suicide.
  • “Transgender” individuals who have undergone “gender-affirming surgery” have a 19% higher suicide rate than the rest of the population.

Christian change counseling is the answer to HEAL gender confusion and unnatural behaviors. But it is banned in 87 cities and states nationwide.

This fall, the U.S. Supreme Court will decide if LGBTQ-led states and local governments can continue banning this lifesaving counseling. Liberty Counsel is on the case.

Help us save gender-confused children by funding our latest U.S. Supreme Court brief. Every donation made today will be DOUBLED in impact by a special Challenge Grant.

Kierra was just 13 years old when she told a local clinic she wished she were a boy. Ten years of hormones and a double mastectomy later, Kierra is stuck with a medically disfigured body and stunted female organs, because no one was there to counsel her against this mutilating surgery. A decade later with a disfigured body, Kierra would give anything to turn back time.

Kierra says that she was far too young to fully comprehend what she was asking. A lifetime “tomboy” who didn’t fit in with her schoolmates, Kierra says she sought help from a local clinic that claimed to specialize in “gender confusion.” After three short appointments, and not a single word of discouragement or admonishment from the doctors and clinic personnel, Kierra was railroaded down a path that would forever change her life and appearance for the worse.

Scientific studies show that more than 80% of all “gender-confused” children grow out of their confusion and go on to lead healthy, happy lives, being content with how they were born.

Christian counseling is highly effective in resolving gender dysphoria (confusion) and unnatural desires without drugging, deceiving, and mutilating a child into a biological impossibility. No matter how many drugs taken nor surgeries performed, one simply cannot “become” the opposite their genetics.

But radical LGBTQ activists don’t want silly things like facts, science, or Christian counseling to get in the way of their deadly agenda — so they want to ban them. That’s why they went crazy over the American Eagle ad for jeans because they want to deny the reality of genes.

While our precedent-setting cased in Florida struck down 23 counseling bans, 87 cities and states still have laws banning the kind of life and natural-gender-affirming, Bible-based counseling that would have helped Kierra. If Kierra had been allowed such counseling before puberty blockers were prescribed or the surgeries were performed, she would not be stuck in this terrifying new reality.

This case now before the Supreme Court is enormously important.

Help Us Overturn Christian Counseling Bans!

This fall, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear Chiles v. Salazar to determine if governments may ban a viewpoint of counseling simply because it is Christian and supports a person who wants to change unnatural desires. We already filed one brief requesting the Court to take up this case. Now we will file a brief addressing the legal arguments.

We filed the first challenge to the first law banning Christian counseling in California in 2012. And we won the first and only victories at the federal Court of Appeals striking down 23 such laws.

But 87 cities and states continue to ban this practice. Please pray the High Court agrees with our brief and frees these children and adults to voluntarily receive lifesaving Christian counseling.

The LGBTQ crowd isn’t waiting for the Supreme Court. They’re trying to get Congress to pass a federal law to ban Christian change counseling in EVERY state in America!

HR 15 and S 1503, the Equality Act of 2025, specifically labels Christian change counseling as “a form of discrimination that harms LGBTQ people.”

If this bill passes, not only will ALL Christian change counseling be banned, but all Christians will be prevented by law from speaking out against the chemical and surgical “transitioning” of children. We cannot allow this bill to pass. Please fax Congress now and demand members VOTE NO on the Equality Act!

And please, pray for the young men and women struggling to escape the LGBTQ’s transgender trap.
