Kim Davis isn’t Obergefell’s only Victim
US Supreme Court MUST stop the LGBTQ attack on Christians
For the last decade, Obergefell v. Hodges has been relentlessly used to attack, silence, and bankrupt Christians and people of faith.
Former Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis was Obergefell’s first victim. Ten years after she was thrown in prison for merely asking to have her name removed from the marriage licenses, she is being sued into bankruptcy by two men who claim Kim should pay for their “hurt feelings.”
Now this former county clerk of humble means faces a bankrupting 360,000-dollar judgment, unless we can get the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn this ruling. At the same time, we are asking the High Court to overturn the Obergefell opinion that created this mess — because Kim isn’t Obergefell’s only victim.
The case of Davis v. Ermold now pending before the Supreme Court is causing a stir. The headline of one liberal media outlet begins, “It is absolutely time to panic.”

Countless individuals have found themselves forced to expend significant financial resources and face crippling fines, damages, and sanctions for exercising their religious objections to same-sex (SS) “marriage.”
ALL of these cases, and many, many more, demonstrate exactly how Obergefell and various LGBTQ laws have and continue to be used to attack religious freedom.
STOP Obergefell’s assault on Christian rights!
We WARNED this would happen — and so did some of the Justices!
In his 2015 Obergefell dissent, Justice Alito warned:
“[Obergefell] will be used to vilify Americans who are unwilling to assent to the new orthodoxy.”
Justice Thomas found similarly in his 2015 Obergefell dissent, writing:
“In our society, marriage is not simply a governmental institution; it is a religious institution as well. Today’s decision might change the former, but it cannot change the latter. It appears all but inevitable that the two will come into conflict, particularly as individuals and churches are confronted with demands to participate in and endorse civil marriages between same-sex couples.”
In his Obergefell dissent, Chief Justice John Roberts predicted the ruling would create “assaults on the character of fair minded people.”
In 2020, Justice Thomas wrote:
“Since Obergefell, parties have continually attempted to label people of good will as bigots merely for refusing to alter their religious beliefs in the wake of prevailing orthodoxy."
Last year, two Christians were denied the opportunity to serve on a jury because of their faith. Justice Alito weighed in, stating:
“the danger that I anticipated in Obergefell v. Hodges ... namely, that Americans who do not hide their adherence to traditional religious beliefs about homosexual conduct will be ‘labeled as bigots and treated as such’ by the government."
Ten years after the Obergefell decision was delivered, Kim Davis’ case proves these Justices’ warnings were right.
For the last 10 years, Obergefell has been used as a bludgeon to attack religious freedom rights.
Kim Davis was the first, but not the last victim, unless we win this case.
We MUST get justice for Kim — and end the assault Obergefell has wrought on Christians once and for all.
