Blue States Seek to Force Religious Institutions to Replace Christian Theology with LGBTQ Doctrine
Nineteen states plus the District of Columbia believe they should have the power to override Christian doctrine. Now they are fighting us in court.
These blue states and DC joined together to file an amicus brief demanding this extraordinary power in our case Zinski v. Liberty University, which is now before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Our case defending Liberty University has attracted national attention. The stakes could not be higher.
Don’t let states rewrite Christian doctrine.
Support our legal fund today and a special Challenge Grant will DOUBLE your impact.
If they win, churches, Christian schools, and religious institutions will be forced to hire “drag queens” and “queers” (their term, not mine), and yes, even pedophiles, whose actions and lifestyles directly contradict the Bible and Christian doctrine. No religious institution will be safe.
These state actors believe they have the power to FORCE Christian churches, schools, and institutions to erase or ignore the Bible passages about God’s design for marriage and the created order of male and female, and instead adopt and promote LGBTQ ideals.
Jonathan Zinski LIED when he applied to work for one of the country’s largest schools — Liberty University. Liberty’s employment conditions require employees to live in accordance with its Christian doctrine. One of the tenets in Liberty’s doctrinal statement is that God created male and female — and to live in any way that contradicts His design is a sin.
Zinski signified his agreement while deliberately hiding the fact that he had already been in the process of taking hormones to identify as a “woman” for at least four months leading up to his employment.
As soon as Zinski’s 90-day probationary employment period ended, he demanded to be called “Elenor” and allowed to dress as a “woman.”
The ACLU jumped in, and along with the 19 states and the District of Columbia, is using Zinski’s case to demand that government must be allowed to force Christian churches, schools, and institutions to abandon Christian theology and replace it with LGBTQ doctrine.
I cannot underestimate the importance of this case. If Zinski and the 20 tyrants above win, churches, Christian schools, and religious institutions will be FORCED to change their religious doctrine.
That means churches, Christians schools, and institutions will be FORCED to hire drag queens, queers, and anyone else whose lifestyle fits under the LGBTQ umbrella.
By the way, the “Q” in LGBTQ stands for “queer,” which, by definition, encompasses about 550 sexual deviancies, including bestiality and pedophilia.
Should your church daycare be forced to hire pedophiles?
The First Amendment gives churches TOTAL autonomy to accept or reject anyone to be members of their churches. Judges and government agents have NO jurisdiction over church membership. Governments cannot force a church or religious institution to change their doctrine or accept someone who rejects that doctrine.
Religious employers, like our client Liberty University, have a right to carry out their religious mission, and they do so through their employees. If an employee’s actions do not comport with their mission and doctrine, the religious institution must have the right to fire the employee.
The simple fact is a religious institution has the absolute right to hire people who carry out the institution’s doctrinal mission. By the same measure, a religious institution has the absolute right to fire employees whose actions and behaviors compromise that mission.
