She had been locked in a bedroom for a week. Her phone, computer, and any mode of communication with the outside world had been taken away. Though less than a year from adulthood, she had not even been allowed to go to school for fear someone would help save her baby.
On Monday morning, December 1, she was to be flown out of state, against her will, where the child in her womb would be forcibly killed without her consent.
But on Friday night, Kylie* had a friend call Liberty Counsel for help. Our attorneys sprang into action, and now both Kylie and her unborn child are SAFE, thanks to YOU.
Kylie’s baby would have been murdered three weeks ago if it were not for your direct financial support of our legal ministry.

Abortion after a heartbeat is banned in Kylie’s state. Just a few months shy of her 18th birthday, Kylie and the baby’s father wanted to choose life.
But that didn’t stop one of Kylie’s parents from taking shocking steps to force Kylie to kill the child in her womb.
Kylie was told that if she didn’t have an abortion, she would be kicked out of the house and cut off from any family support. Though still a high school student, Kylie refused to be intimidated into committing murder. If having the baby meant being kicked out of her parent’s house, then so be it.
When she informed her father, he withdrew her from school, locked her in a bedroom, booked plane tickets and an appointment with an out-of-state abortion mill to perform an abortion on this young mother who did not want to kill her child.
When Kylie learned what was planned, she called the police. But when the police arrived, instead of counseling Kylie’s dad on the law, the officer told her she should just get the abortion.
As punishment, Kylie’s father took away her phone, computer, and anything else she might use to get help in saving herself and her child. The father locked Kylie in her bedroom, intending to hold her prisoner until she could be transported to a Chicago-area Planned Parenthood affiliate.
Kylie got in touch with Liberty Counsel. Though late on a Friday afternoon, our attorneys jumped into action.
SAVE MORE LIVES with your gift today.
With initial contact at 4:16 p.m. on a Friday, Liberty Counsel worked late into the night marshaling resources to protect the girl and her unborn child. Liberty Counsel spoke with the sheriff and a senior deputy in Kylie’s county of residence along with senior counsel in the attorney general's office.
The next day, Saturday, Liberty Counsel completed and sent a five-page demand letter informing the father that subjecting a teenager into an unwanted coerced abortion violated the state’s abortion law, as well as Kylie’s parental rights over her unborn child. Our attorneys gave the parent until 3 p.m. that day to send us screenshots proving the flight and abortion had been canceled.
Our powerful demand letter further advised that any further coercion, emotional abuse, or sarcastic barbs about what the parent would do with Kylie’s “dead baby” were also to stop immediately.
Kylie and her baby are now safe, staying with family members who recognize that every life is precious and that every abortion is murder. Our team also arranged compassionate care, counseling, and pro-life Crisis Pregnancy Center resources to support Kylie and her child throughout the pregnancy. And this includes reconciliation with her parents.
YOUR SUPPORT means that Liberty Counsel was here to receive separate panicked calls from both Kylie and the baby’s father. YOUR SUPPORT means that Liberty Counsel was able to intervene, protecting both Kylie and her unborn child. A child is alive today because of YOU.
Kylie isn’t alone.
Nearly 70% of women who had an abortion were coerced or forced into killing their child.
Sometimes that pressure comes from boyfriends, unwilling to take responsibility for the life they helped create.
Sometimes that pressure comes from parents, who mistakenly believe that eliminating an unplanned pregnancy will result in better future marriages, careers, and finances for their daughters.
And some parents, sadly, force their daughters to kill their unborn children out of shame, to prevent the family name from being tarnished.
The long-term effects of abortion on mothers are devastating...
And of course, for the baby, the “long-term effect” is DEATH.
ONLY YOUR DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT allows Liberty Counsel to provide FREE legal assistance to people all over the country fighting to defend the right to life, religious freedom, and the natural family.
Liberty Counsel does not have a multimillion-dollar endowment or backing from pro-death billionaires. Instead, our clients, like Kylie, rely on YOU, the faithful Liberty Counsel supporter, to ensure justice is done.
We have now won 40 cases at the U.S. Supreme Court that we argued or briefed, including having our powerful brief cited in the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. Liberty Counsel has been fighting for the right to life for over 36 years. But our lifesaving work is ONLY possibly because of YOUR generosity. Support our legal ministry now and a special Year-End Challenge Grant will DOUBLE the impact of your gift.
