For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. — 2 Corinthians 10:3-4
We know our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. That is why we appreciate your prayers.
Thank you for helping Liberty Counsel engage in the cultural battles for defending religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and the family.
Here are some examples of how we are fighting on the battlefield:
We are defending Calvary Chapel Belfast in Maine against the University of Maine System that has discriminated against the church in a property sale over its religious beliefs in which the church won the bid. But after LGBTQ advocates objected, the sale was rescinded.
We are defending a single mother at the Maine Supreme Court who was barred by an unconstitutional court order from taking her 12-year-old daughter to ANY Christian church or religious event (including Christmas or Easter), from exposing her to religious literature and the Bible, and required that the girl not associate with friends from church.
We filed a lawsuit on behalf of an Idaho Army National Guard infantry officer against Governor Brad Little and two army generals for unlawfully removing the officer from command solely due to his personal Christian expression on biblical sexuality made outside of the military environment. This “No Christians in Command” policy is unconstitutional.
We sent a demand letter to the Clackamas County Health, Housing, and Human Services Department on behalf of a licensed social worker facing unlawful retaliation for not following the county’s pronoun policy due to his religious beliefs. Clackamas County, Oregon, requires all clinical staff to “use” a child’s “preferred pronouns.”
We filed a lawsuit against the City of Seattle, Mayor Bruce Harrell, and Chief of Police Shon Barnes on behalf of Christian organizers for Mayday USA, a grassroots revival event. The city forced the group to a park in a predominantly “LGBTQ+ community” where they were attacked by antifa and LGBTQ activists hurling balloons filled with urine.
We intervened in a Florida court on behalf of Coastal Family Church and a pastor in Flagler Beach to dismiss a meritless lawsuit brought by Flagler Square – JAX, Inc, which is seeking to halt the church’s services from being held at a commercial strip mall.
We filed a lawsuit against the New York-based company Trane Technologies on behalf of a former employee for unlawfully denying him a religious accommodation and firing him over his religious beliefs. He had worked there for 16 years as an HVAC technician and asked for a religious accommodation to avoid working alone with a female colleague who is not his wife.
We are defending Jews for Jesus in a frivolous defamation lawsuit brought by alleged Orthodox Jewish teacher and aspiring rabbi who claims they deliberately defamed him by using a blurred stock photo on social media that he says associated him with their Christian outreach ministry.
Liberty Counsel can WIN when we show up to the fight. The only limit on confronting every threat is resources. However, your generous gift can bring victory to those who need it most.
Thankfully, generous donors have provided a Year-End Challenge Grant.
That means every dollar you donate between now and the end of the year will be effectively DOUBLED. Your gift of $50 will become $100; $250 will be doubled in impact to $500; $1,000 expands to $2,000 of impact, etc.
Here’s how you can help:
Make a donation on our website by midnight, December 31, in your time zone.
Send a check postmarked by December 31 to Liberty Counsel, PO Box 540774, Orlando, FL 32854.
Call in your credit or debit card gift to 407-875-1776 between 8:30 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. ET, December 31.
It is very important that Liberty Counsel meet the full goal of the Year-End Challenge Grant to continue to fight and win more critical battles!
