This Is Making Young Women Old

Feb 2, 2026

These drugs are causing young women to age

About 87 states and local governments combined have banned people from receiving safe and effective Christian counseling regarding gender confusion. Instead, those people (many of whom are minors) have been put on drugs that are causing the typical 80-year-old health problems in once-healthy teen and twentysomething girls and young women.

Liberty Counsel is fighting to overturn these deadly Christian counseling bans. Our major wins set up the current U.S. Supreme Court case Chiles v. Salazar. We need your urgent prayers and support.

A drug used to chemically castrate s*x offenders is now the No. 1 drug prescribed to gender-confused girls and young women. Now a generation of women are struggling with lifelong health problems about which their so-called “gender affirming care” doctors never warned them.

A bombshell report, published in 2017, showed that the FDA has received a flood of complaints detailing serious adverse reactions and debilitating side effects from Lupron — the top drug given to girls and young women in their doomed efforts to become “trans men.”

If you search the internet for “Lupron adverse reactions among transmen,” you won’t find much. So deep is the censorship protecting the gender- affirming care industry.

But if you change your search parameters to “Lupron adverse reactions in precocious puberty,” you will learn that this drug has been causing irreversible, lifelong damage to young women for decades — and the FDA and the drug maker know it.

Twenty-year-old Chloe* had osteopenia — bone weakening generally only seen in women over 50 years of age.

Twenty-year-old Valerie experienced severe muscle loss and could no longer raise her arms over her head to wash her hair. By the time she was 25, the drug caused severe bone deterioration resulting in seizures and a fractured spine — a condition typically only seen in women over 70.

Twenty-one-year-old Sharissa experienced such severe fibromyalgia and bone deterioration that she’s had more surgeries than her 79-year-old father, including jaw replacement.

Twenty-six-year-old Anna* had to have a hip replacement.

Thirty-year-old Lisa* and scores of other women developed degenerative disc disease where their spines began to crumble.

These women are not alone. Tens of thousands of other adverse reactions and lifelong debilitating injuries have been reported.

Lupron’s label advises adult women taking the drug for menopausal uterine disorders to not take the drug for longer than six months to avoid serious complications, including bone loss.

Adult men who are prescribed the drug as part of their prostate cancer treatment are also warned Lupron will deteriorate their bones.

Yet the “gender care” industry puts prepubescent girls and young women on this dangerous drug for years to stop puberty and/or menstruation.

Sharissa wasn’t “trans” when doctors put her on Lupron. Instead, like most of the women mentioned above, she was given the drug to delay early onset puberty in hopes she would grow taller.

But whether the drugs were administered for “precocious puberty,” or for stopping menstruation while taking masculinizing testosterone treatments in adulthood, the effect is the same. The drug blocks estrogen production, causing a cascade of serious, lifelong health problems.

“It just feels like I’m being punished for basically being experimented on when I was a child,” Sharissa says.

In 2016, the makers of Lupron were forced to add a warning label that children on the drug are likely to develop new psychiatric problems. The "gender affirming” industry continues to falsely claim that people denied gender rejection services will become suicidal — yet Lupron’s own warning label admits these drugs can make patients suicidal.

In 2023, Lupron was forced to add another warning, this one admitting the drug causes brain swelling and vision loss.

Yet Lupron remains the top drug prescribed to stop menstruation in gender-dysphoric young women deceived into thinking they can become “men.”

Healing IS possible — but it’s BANNED in 87 cities and states.

Even the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 2025 report advised that counseling is the safest and most effective treatment for gender dysphoria. Yet more than 100 cities and states bowed to the trans mafia.

Liberty Counsel overturned 23 of those change counseling bans with our landmark case Otto v. Boca Raton, FL. The case freed patients in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida to seek and receive lifesaving Christian counseling.

Now the Supreme Court will decide, in Chiles v. Salazar, whether the remaining 87 cities and states can BAN this lifesaving talk therapy just because the trans mafia doesn’t like it. We’ve submitted our briefs to the High Court, and now we need your urgent prayers and support.

Christian change counseling has been proven to heal gender confusion and unwanted attraction without death-dealing drugs. Help us ensure that NO person is EVER denied their right to seek and receive lifesaving Christian counseling. Every donation made today will be DOUBLED in impact by a special Challenge Grant.
