Miss America Organization threatens to SUE former Miss North Florida for exposing gender-bending contract

Miss America’s contract speaks for itself, and what it says is quite shocking. It clearly says that the definition of “female” includes a “male” who under the age of 14 had his genitalia surgically and irreversibly removed. This biological boy can then COMPETE against young women in the Miss Teen and Miss America pageants.

Four weeks after being crowned Miss North Florida, our client, Kayleigh Bush, was presented with a newly minted contract. Despite her pleas to change the contract or to let her strike through the offending provisions, the Miss America Organization refused to allow her to compete in the Miss Florida pageant.

When Kayleigh exposed this disturbing truth, the Miss America Organization began threatening to sue her into silence.

Four weeks, after Kayleigh won Miss North Florida 2025, pageant officials presented her with a shocking new “bait and switch” contract demanding she agree that a “female” includes any male who had completed “sex reassignment surgery via vaginoplasty” before competing.

Keep in mind, this contract applies to competitors as young as 14 years old, meaning the vaginoplasty would have to be completed before the boys turned 14!  

This is the OFFICIAL Miss America policy. 

Section 2.3.5.1. of the contract states: “Sex. The Applicant must be a Female. “Female” means a born female or an individual who has fully completed Sex Reassignment Surgery via Vaginoplasty (from male to female) with supporting medical documentation and records.... No alternative gender affirming surgery will suffice as acceptable in place of a Vaginoplasty.” 

Other portions of the contract state that surgery must be done by age 14! 

A boy who wants to compete in the Miss Teen division of the Miss America pageant would need to have fully completed the multi-year, multiple surgery process of a so-called “sex reassignment surgery” BEFORE the child even reaches 14 years of age.  

Exhibit E of the contract requires the biological male’s surgeon to attest and affirm that “the surgery has left the individual with no male genitalia and is irreversible.” 

It’s bad enough that the Miss America contract would allow a MALE in the MISS America pageant. But it is worse when minors are involved. Rather than threatening to sue Kayleigh Bush for speaking the truth, Miss America should change its contract. Let girls be girls. Stop the outrageous threats to sue Kayleigh.

Kayleigh Spoke the Truth. Miss America Threatened Her. When TMZ asked her about the contract, Kayleigh answered honestly: “Miss America has honored women for over 100 years, and now they can’t even define what a woman is.”

Why? Because they do not want America to know that their new policy affirms the surgical removal of male genitalia from children under 14 — and then places those children in competition with young women who have spent their lives preparing for these opportunities.
