SPLC PAID white supremacists to create chaos
even as Liberty Counsel continues to fight SPLC’s frivolous lawsuit
The U.S. Department of Justice dropped a BOMBSHELL indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). A grand jury indicted the SPLC on ELEVEN counts of FRAUD, including bank fraud, wire fraud, false statements to defraud, and money laundering.
The indictment found the SPLC has been PAYING members of the KKK and Aryan Nations to create chaos, opened fraudulent bank accounts to hide those payments, then fundraised off that chaos, and used the deceitfully gained funds to SUE innocent groups like Liberty Counsel.
Liberty Counsel continues to defend itself against the SPLC’s gross and baseless allegations in its frivolous lawsuit, Jenkins v. Miller. The indictment is a huge move in the right direction, but our court case is ongoing — and we need YOUR HELP to stop this billion-dollar dangerous behemoth! On April 21, 2026, a Grand Jury indicted the SPLC on six counts of wire fraud, four counts of bank fraud, and one count of money laundering.
Records obtained by the U.S. Department of Justice found that the SPLC concocted a scheme to create fake bank accounts so that the organization could hide the fact that it was paying the very white supremacist groups it claimed to be fighting.
According to court documents, the SPLC paid:
The SPLC even paid the leaders of the white supremacist group behind the Charlottesville massacre to organize and bus racists to that event! Then, after the massacre, the SPLC fundraised off of it, raising millions off the tragedy the SPLC helped engineer!
Shortly after the Grand Jury indictment was released on April 21, FBI Director Kash Patel announced on social media that the SPLC “engaged in a massive fraud operation to deceive their donors, enrich themselves, and hide their deceptive operations from the public.”
“They lied to their donors,” says Director Patel, “vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups — even utilizing the funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes. That is illegal — and this is an ongoing investigation against all individuals involved.”
In the SPLC’s insane case against Liberty Counsel, Miller v. Jenkins, the SPLC continues to falsely claim Liberty Counsel assisted a woman in kidnapping her child. The charge is ridiculous and has been thoroughly debunked in court.
But the SPLC is using it’s nearly 1-billion-dollar endowment of ill-gotten gains to try to sue LIBERTY COUNSEL out of business.
Regardless of the indictments, our fight to clear our name against the SPLC’s smears continues. Preparing for this appeal and the upcoming oral arguments will require hundreds more hours of legal work.
