Senate tries to insert CBDC into the  

Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)

This is the exact same tactic the Senate pulled when they tried to insert a pro-CBDC measure in the affordable housing bill.

In a measure originally meant to limit the government’s ability to spy on U.S. citizens, the Senate just inserted a provision that will allow the government to spy on and control citizens’ money with Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) beginning December 31, 2030.

We pushed back hard on the Senate’s attempt to sneak this same language into the Affordable Housing bill. Now we must push back just as hard on their attempt to put it in the FISA bill.

Tell Congress right now: It doesn’t matter where you try to put this Orwellian financial surveillance and control scheme, we the American people WILL NOT tolerate a CBDC!

No CBDCs, not now, not ever!

Shockingly, two REPUBLICANS are leading this financial spying effort!

For the last two weeks, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, along with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, have been circulating a new FISA bill that specifically allows the Fed to issue a CBDC in just three years — the same amount of time the pro-financial-spying senators were trying to get it rammed through in the Affordable Housing bill.

But conservatives in the House are speaking out against the Senate’s duplicity.

“It’s a nonstarter,” said Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD), chair of the House Freedom Caucus. “If they want to bring this under a rule in the House, it’s going to have to include a permanent ban on CBDC.”

“We have to permanently ban CBDC. There is no other option,” added Rep. Keith Self (R-TX).

Yet, Republican senators are openly and actively pushing to allow the Fed to issue a CBDC just three years from now. We cannot allow that to happen!
