Abortion in our Water

Sep 17, 2026

New research shows you may be
drinking your neighbor’s abortion

Municipal water systems are not designed to clear the abortion pill or human remains from water. As a result, you may very well be drinking and showering in chemical residues from your neighbor’s abortion, even if you live in a state where abortion and abortion pills are banned.

And that is thanks to a Biden-era policy change that endangers not just the unborn, not just the mothers, but also every single American.

It’s time for Congress to step up and protect not just pro-lifers in pro-life states, but Americans everywhere from the deadly effects of mail-order abortion pills.

Fax Congress now and demand they VOTE YES on H.R. 9421, the Ban Abortion by Mail Act.

Around 91,000 innocent babies were aborted in pro-life states, thanks to radical pro-abortion doctors willfully defying the law to mail abortion drugs into states where these killing pills are banned. That’s according to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute’s 2025 report.

Meanwhile, multiple lab studies have shown that the presence of abortion pill chemicals in water has the potential to cause serious endocrine disorders in amphibians and fish, even causing XY chromosomes to reverse into XX chromosomes, effectively turning male fish into “female” fish.

Abortion drugs in the water supply are also suspected to contribute to increases in infertility and miscarriages.

The abortion pill does not fully break down in a woman’s body, or the baby’s body that gets flushed down the toilet. As a result, active killer chemicals go on to enter public water systems, groundwater, and eventually — because traditional drinking water treatment plants do not fully remove this sort of contamination — into drinking water consumed by unsuspecting neighbors.

A bit of good news on the horizon

The EPA announced this week that it is launching a new scientific study using advanced nontargeted analysis to screen drinking water for a broad range of potential pollutants, including the abortion drugs mifepristone, misoprostol, misoprostol acid, and their active metabolites, in order to examine the occurrence of these killing drugs in our water supply.

The development represents a significant victory for our sister ministry, Liberty Counsel Action, and its Abortion in Our Water initiative, which for more than a year has urged federal officials to investigate what happens when abortion drugs and abortion-related medical waste enter America’s wastewater and drinking water systems.

But unless Congress passes the Ban Abortion by Mail Act and shuts down the abortion doctors’ illicit interstate trade in abortion pills, for many, it will be too late

Take a moment right now and demand Congress protect Americans by passing the Ban Abortion by Mail Act.
