Nicola’s mail-order abortion nearly cost her life

Forty minutes after Nicola* took her first abortion pill, she started hemorrhaging.

The last thing she remembers before passing out from blood loss was a river of blood trailing her wheelchair as her husband rushed her into the emergency room.

Nicola is one of the growing number of women whose lives were lost or nearly lost, thanks to Joe and Jill Biden’s sick attempt to expand the murder of innocents during the COVID years via mail-order abortions.

It’s time for Congress to stop the carnage.

No one told Nicola the risk of bleeding to death when an out-of-state pro-death organization mailed her abortion pills. There was no physical examination to see if she was too far along for chemical abortion, or had a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy.

Forty minutes after taking the pill, blood started gushing out of her. She tried to stand in the shower as clots the size of tennis balls dropped out of her body.

“It looked like a murder scene,” says Nicola, and indeed it was, for not only had the child in her womb died, Nicola was also careening toward death.

There was no clinic to return to or medical staff on hand to assist. 

Nicola’s husband raced her to the emergency room. A steady trail of blood followed her wheelchair from the hospital entrance to the exam room. Nicola passed out from blood loss even before the ER staff were able to cut off her clothes.

Despite the hemorrhaging, the baby’s body remained stuck in Nicola’s uterus. Without an emergency dilation and curettage (D&C) surgery to remove the baby’s remains, Nicola would have quickly become septic, dying from the decaying baby inside her body.

The out-of-state abortion pill mill never warned her.

Nor did they warn her that the resulting D&C she required to save her own life might also leave her infertile.

For years, the FDA required an in-person visit and a follow-up visit with an OB-GYN to avoid exactly the problem Nicola experienced, in addition to a whole host of other life-threatening and long-term consequences.

But the abortion industry’s bloodlust pushed Biden to create a death-dealing mail-order abortion free-for-all that isn’t just killing babies, but their mothers, too.

Nicola is blessed to be alive.

The next woman in her situation might not fare as well.

Fax Congress today to ensure not one more woman bleeds out as the result of mail-order abortion.
